My passion for teaching has led me to study different languages and teach my mother tongue, French, for many years. Originally from Paris, I currently teach, and have done for several years, French as a foreign language in an American University (R1 - Top 25 US News ranking). I also carry out research work there on the philosophy of language which, combined with the various training courses followed in this prestigious establishment, has allowed me to acquire solid experience in teaching French (from A1 to C2, Cadre common European reference for languages). Today, I support students in their mastery of the language in an efficient manner and by adapting to the deadlines imposed on them in achieving their objectives. Thus, many of them who started learning French with me were admitted to prestigious French-speaking university programs (La Sorbonne, Sciences Po, Fulbright...). My teaching is focused on a 360 approach, taking into consideration the most recent studies on the acquisition of foreign languages and innovative teaching techniques. It is based on an immersive and multimedia method (podcasts, series, films, newspapers, etc.). My classes are done entirely in French and in a progressive manner, adapting to each person's rhythms. The main thing for me is to take into consideration the requests of my students, to listen to their needs and their desires. I pay particular attention to the specificities of learning necessary for each person; the emphasis may be placed on orality, visual aspect and/or grammar. In short, I design tailor-made courses to ensure that you achieve your objectives and discover the richness of French-speaking cultures! Philosophy course My training as a philosopher (La Sorbonne; Sciences Po), and my passion for this discipline have also allowed me to give philosophy courses for 10 years already. My teaching focuses on one of the aspects sometimes neglected when preparing for the baccalaureate or university exams: methodology. Methodological questions allow students to obtain the grades they desire. The transmission of my passion for this discipline, through the exploration of the interests of my students, makes my teaching come alive. Philosophy is everywhere: we will therefore base ourselves on your passions to nourish your dissertations and make your learning more fulfilling. Together we will explore the beauty of philosophy so that you can fully enjoy it!

Trusted teacher: => During our first interview, I offer you the time devoted to setting up the three-step methodology that we will put in place together. 1/ [you]: What are your needs? A question ; concepts that escape you; the scope of a philosophical or theological text (major or not) whose meaning seems obscure to you; the role of a particular philosopher or theologian in his historical context; its influence for us today; a stream of thought; an entire branch of philosophy that interests you, etc. 2/[me]: Depending on your needs, I will offer you a course plan split into several sessions. We will set up a schedule taking into account the deadline before which you would like to acquire all the knowledge you want. I prepare personalized lessons. 3/[me and you]: I give you these lessons with Power Point slides. At the end of each lesson, I give you the Power Point as well as a lesson summary that I will give you in detail orally. This will allow you to not focus on note taking and focus on the content studied. Any questions during the course are welcome! => From basic level (secondary) to university level (master) With six years of teaching in secondary school and two in High School, I have developed an efficient study methodology according to the goal pursued and a pedagogy that has improved thanks to all the feedback I have been able to glean. so far. I also make popular videos of philosophy and theology (Faith and Reason) on YouTube. The air of nothing, I perfected my art (and still continue to do so) thanks to the many constraints that I imposed on myself: 1/ Make highly speculative content understandable by the uninitiated. 2/ Giving a taste for these subjects by showing the relevance of the concepts they mobilize for issues that are still current or new. 3/ Make everything fit in a video of maximum 15 minutes, highlighting key quotes, talking images, etc. In short, you will be entitled to a quality and aesthetic course :-)

We will start from the texts and themes of the program in question (high school program or courses taken at the university). From there, it will be a question of developing a deep and conceptually rigorous reading capacity of the text. This work will be done together between the student and the professor, trying to identify the key points through dialogue - issues, thesis, argumentative path, etc. - the author in question. Following this, it is essential to move on to personal work where the student will be confronted with the writing and production of a philosophical thought. This precise exercise will obviously depend on the time that the student will want to invest in the course as well as his strengths and what he needs to improve. It will therefore be a question of writing short introductions of text or essay commentary, short dialogues, detailed plans, short essays, etc. I am in fact convinced that philosophy, like any other skill, is also and above all learned through concrete practice and confrontation with specific exercises. I hope that through this methodology we will reach the precise objectives that the student sets out for himself, by means of a living philosophy and active teaching. The method is obviously open to change, which means that the main driving force of the whole course will be the dialogue and continuous exchange between the student and the teacher. Only in this way, I hope, we really learn to philosophize and we can therefore understand what philosophy is about.
