During our one-one-one lesson, I will walk you through step-by-step on what to do in your audition, and how to walk in looking like a professional! We will go over important audition etiquette, your audition materials, calming your nerves, and more information that will help you succeed!
People auditioning for a local or school choir, musical, play, opera, cabaret, or any performance of any level will benefit from this!

If you need help finding and/or choosing your audition materials, I am also available to help with that upon request. Please plan on meeting twice for this option; The first meeting will be discussing details of your audition and your performance style, and finding good materials that suit what you are auditioning for. The second meeting will be the actual audition prep lesson, where we will go over these materials and the other important audition information as discussed above.

Extra information

A computer or tablet is preferred, but any electronic device capable of capturing audio and video will suffice! Please have your audition materials ready to show and receive assistance on. Paper and a writing utensil is advised for taking notes.

Hello! It's wonderful to meet you! I'm Lindsey, and I am currently a third-year Music Education student at the University of South Florida. I just earned my Associate in Arts degree, and am now working towards my Bachelor's. I currently work at a local Presbyterian church as their Worship Leader every week. I have been performing professionally in Theatre productions around the area for a couple of years while in school. Born following behavioral observation, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) designates a whole set of techniques (dissociation, reframing, etc.) and methods aimed at promoting the personal development of the individual.

Neuro-linguistic programming is concerned with how humans function in a given environment, based on their behavioral patterns. Through a set of techniques and methods, NLP helps to change the way an individual perceives his environment. Indeed, each individual has a map of the world which is specific to him, and which is modulated by his beliefs and his conditioning. The purpose of NLP is to modify this map in order to enable the individual to achieve their goals more effectively. NLP therefore provides the necessary tools to make personal and structural changes, in order to create new potential for success.

Neuro-linguistic programming is primarily concerned with "How to make it work well?" Rather than "Why is this not working?" ". It suggests recognizing the behaviors we adopt when communicating, and then making changes if desired.

- “Programming” refers to the fact that we are conditioned by our environment which includes a system of beliefs and behaviors.
- “Neuro” means that these programs are encoded in our neural circuits.
- “Linguistics” refers to language, whether verbal or non-verbal.
