Since 2012, I offer history-geography courses, English and French to young people from 8 to 18 years. Sometimes even for high school students. My methodology for the youngest is innovative. I use playful and creative tools to stimulate students' curiosity and interest. The goal is not to feel the constraint related to learning. This technique is generally effective. The results had increased and their interest in the modified language. They were more interested in getting better and meeting foreigners to practice the language (for example, looking for tandems, traveling, language cafés, etc.). For the rest, I use literary / historical texts, extracts of scientific and journalistic articles, film / documentary / radio programs, songs, etc. The choice of media is always related to the cultural era of the language taught (English: Anglo-Saxon world). Also, I adapt my teaching method according to the person, his needs and his difficulties. I would focus for example on grammar if I see that the person does not master the grammatical bases of the language in question; on reading and pronunciation if I notice that there are difficulties assimilating certain rules, etc.
