With over 16 years of formal training in classical saxophone performance and music education, I bring both depth and experience to my teaching. I began performing solo concerts at the age of 12, developing not only strong technical skills but also confident stage presence from an early age. I hold a Master’s degree with distinction (cum laude) from LUCA School of Arts, a prestigious conservatory affiliated with KU Leuven, one of the top universities in Belgium. My academic work, including my thesis and final defense, was conducted entirely in English, ensuring that I can deliver clear, professional, and effective lessons in English. I am currently pursuing the highest artistic degree (Konzertexamen) in Stuttgart, continuously refining my performance to an elite professional level. Unlike the idea of a “natural talent,” my progress has been built step by step through dedication and persistence. This gives me a unique advantage as a teacher: I deeply understand every stage of learning. From beginner struggles to advanced technical and musical challenges, I not only know what the problems are—but also why they occur, how to fix them, and what the correct result should sound like. My artistic journey includes extensive competition and audition experience, which I have transformed into practical and effective teaching methods. My achievements include First Prize in the IAMPT Concerto Category, Second Prize in a Performer Award, and participation in the Andorra International Saxophone Competition. Each lesson is carefully tailored to the student’s age, level, and goals, creating a structured yet enjoyable learning environment. Whether you are a child taking your first steps in music, an amateur player seeking improvement, or an advanced student preparing for exams or performances, you will receive focused and personalized guidance. With a strong classical foundation, I specialize in helping students build solid technique, beautiful tone, and expressive musicality. At the same time, I am open and enthusiastic about guiding students in other styles such as jazz and popular music, as long as they match your level and interests. No matter your goal—personal enjoyment, performance, or professional development—this course is designed to help you become a confident, expressive, and truly musical saxophonist.

My lessons combine practical playing with music theory, so students not only improve technically but also develop a deeper understanding of music. Depending on the students' goals, the lessons can also include rhythm training, ear training, and improvisation. I also enjoy working with students who are interested in the creative side of music, including composition, songwriting, and arrangement. I believe that learning music should be fun, and I adapt my lessons to the wishes and needs of the students. Lessons are available for children and adults, from absolute beginners to advanced students.

My teaching style takes a holistic approach towards musicianship through mastering fundamental skills and knowledge, providing students with the confidence to write, perform and improvise both independently and alongside fellow musicians. Lessons are typically 45 minutes to 1 hour as this provides enough time to both explain and practice musical concepts. I have spent a number of years teaching both privately and in schools to a wide range of ages and skill levels across Saxophone, Guitar and Music Theory, from young beginners all the way to other music University graduates looking to hone their skills. My lessons cover a variety of topics including: Saxophone technique and tone Playing over jazz standards/chord changes Transcribing, memorizing and notating music by ear Developing aural skills and relative pitch Harmonic and rhythmic theory Reading music notation Song and ensemble arrangement & more!

This course aims to cultivate students’ richer musical expressions, essential basic playing techniques, musical knowledge and music reading skills in order to enjoy playing the saxophone or flute as a beginner with some simple pieces. For the intermediate level, we will enhanced your skill in playing with fun.

I am a classical pianist and jazz saxophonist, with a BMus from Oxford University. Whether you are looking to learn or develop musical skills, or improve your music theory understanding, I will help you reach your goals through a fun and effective approach! I also have an intermediate level of Spanish.
