I am currently Psychopedagogical Coordinator in a private school in Geneva. I teach for primary and secondary school students in all school subjects through metacognition. I did a master's degree in special education at the University of Geneva and then I was a PhD student in the field of metacognition-develop learning methods to learn to learn better, learn strategies for learning. set of school subjects. Working with metacognition is: I) Develop knowledge that the learner has of his own intellectual functioning ► Strengths, weaknesses, likes and dislikes II) Use metacognitive strategies ► Anticipation, planning, continuous and final control. III) Generalization and transfer from one domain to another A) Developing your cognitive abilities: Understanding of instructions, analysis and synthesis of documents knowing how to clarify a situation, solve a problem and process information, know how to take notes, summarize, report, memorize, share and formalize, but also to explore, innovate, search, discover, create and undertake to train. b) To work its working method: Organization of the homework, preparation of the controls and evaluations. c) Develop personal abilities: Learn how to manage your efforts, your involvement, your emotions, your time, your motivation to maintain, reinforce or reactivate the desire to learn as well as know how to emerge and take into account your project in its context and his relationship to others.

Private Lessons in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and BiologyTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Private Lessons in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and BiologyTranslate this text using Google Translate.

About my service I provide coaching for students in the area of science and mathematics. The lessons are designed to enable students to improve their understanding of the school subjects and thus their grades. The target audience are students from primary school up to high school. The lesson is usually roughly structured in three parts: - Together with the student I go over the homework, or the work that was done during the last questions are answered and facts explained. - The learned concepts are applied repeatedly to problems and exercises to fortify the understanding and help the student become more at ease with applying them. - If the time and the situations allows it, the student is prepared for his next lesson at school so that he or she will be able to follow it better. In addition to the subject matter I try to teach how to learn, which is a skill that is sadly not often taught at school. This includes, amongst others, how to organize, how to take notes, how to memorize facts and formulas and how to prepare for exams. This provides a longer lasting benefit for the student. I am also comfortable with students and pupils with rather severe difficulties such as dyscalculus (basically dyslexia for maths) and fear of school or aggravated lack of motivation. With these students I make sure to take my time, without putting them under pressure, and explain facts in simple words until they are certain to have understood them. As I am equally fluent in English, German and French, the lessons can take place in any of those languages. My experience I have around 10 years of experience giving private lessons. My youngest student was 6 years old, my oldest 47. Over the years I was able to help well over 1oo students improve their grades. At first I started giving lessons to single students but then moved on to also teach groups of up to 8 students. I am quite familiar with the syllabus of the "Ecole Internationale" here in Geneva (both Grande-Boissière and Nations) as I have had many students from there.

“ i may not have a comparison to other private-lesson-teachers, but Heba has what i want in a teacher: she's patient, with explaining as well as having me asking questions; she adjusts to my pace of learning, noticing when a little break is needed, without making the lesson too easy ...and she's a very sweet and uncomplicated person! ;-) also i benefit from her backround to get an overall view about the arabic language; i recommand to learn with Heba! :-) ”

“ She is really good teacher, asks what you need and plans the course according to your requirements. Do not hesitate to take courses from her. ”

“ Keren is very patient and very knowledgeable. My 13 year old son really enjoyed his tutoring session with her. Will book again! ”
