Berklee Graduate offers private lessons of Composition, Orchestration, Arranging, Ear Training, Harmony & Counterpoint in Utrecht

The way I teach actually depends entirely on the student. The way I explain the concepts, plan and structure the lessons and approach each subject all depends on whether the student is a beginner, intermediate or advanced, and whether he or she has some experience on the subject.

Each student has different needs and different abilities. It's just a matter of getting to know the student, in order to identify both the weaknesses and strengths on which to work.

(Bass) Guitar, Music theory and Solfège in Wittevrouwen, Utrecht
Hello (future) musician! Do you also have a song in your head that you would like to play? Always wanted to play electric or acoustic guitar or bass guitar? Have you never touched a string, or are you advanced and looking for new challenges? I have been giving guitar lessons since 2007 with great pleasure. In addition to these private lessons, I worked at the Guitar Academy in Amsterdam, at Muziekles Den Bosch and at Art in Music in Utrecht, next to my work as an executive musician. I studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg and Musicology at Utrecht University. Broad interests, reflected in the hoevelheid styles I play and education (from pop and rock to salsa, tango and gypsy to metal and jazz). I also give solfège and music theory. It does not matter how exotic your interest, I can help you get better! In addition, I can choose and arrange songs for you, so that there is no limit to your imagination: learn to play what you want to learn to play. These lessons are not given in a large, impersonal music school: lesson duration and lesson dates are discussed and are flexible. Personal and smooth, easier for everyone. Besides guitar enthusiast teaching is a big passion of mine, and I think that is essential to be able to offer good lessons. Whether I teach you how to play your first songs in a few lessons, or whether we are going to pick up some tough pieces, it is a pleasant and productive learning process. Lessons in Wittevrouwen, Utrecht or at extra cost at home. If you have questions, mail or call!

Basic Piano, Ear Training and Music Theory For Children and Adults
This lesson is for people who have little or no experience with playing the piano. My focus is to introduce student to the music by starting with basic classical piano training, and adding ear training and music theory to an intermediate level. I can arrange lessons for entering exams to music schools and conservatories. Classes varies from student's needs. Discovering and enjoying music in your on way is the key in here. I am a conservatory graduated professional classical and contemporary percussionist who works and travels with orchestras and ensembles for the last 13 years around the world, and who also works in different musical areas such as, singing and songwriting, crossover compositions, and music production. In my classes, I like to combine my background with the topic we are working on, and evolve in student's own personal musical experience. We can stay with the classical side, get into some percussion, or in one point we can start composing for your own ideas and work on them on Ableton. My aim is giving the student a wide experience and a chance to discover what they really interest in music.

Zara
Classical singing and piano lessons for all levels and ages
Dear parents and students, I am a professional singer and pianist from Hong Kong, having more than 10 years of experience in music teaching. I graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor degree in music (with honors), Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel with a Master degree in classical singing (with distinction) and also the Post-master degree in classical singing (with distinction). I am currently a professional opera singer working mainly in Germany with conductors and directors from houses and studios such as Theater Rudolstadt, Lyric Opera Studio Weimar, Komische Oper Berlin and Royal Opera House. I am a holder of Licentiate Trinity College of London (LTCL) vocal and piano performance certificates, both with distinctions. Besides, I am a holder of ABRSM Grade 8 music theory certificate with merit. I have given singing and piano lessons to students ranging from 2 to 40 years of age. Very happily, all of them had obtained distinctions at their ABRSM exams, some of them also won first prize at competitions. However, I do not teach music because of this. Distinctions and prizes are bonuses, but most importantly, I hope my students can enjoy and understand music. For beginners, I focus very much on building basic techniques. Alongside with that, I spend around 10 minutes every lesson on things such as ear training, music theory, music history, sight-reading/sight-singing, music composition, instrumentation and conducting, depending on the interest on the student. For more advanced students, I teach more about musicality and presentation. I aim to provide all-round knowledge to my students so they will be well equipped for future development. Since I grow up at one of the best English schools in Hong Kong, I can communicate in English very fluently without accent. Besides English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese are my mother tongues. I am also knowledgeable in German, French and Italian. I am confident that I will provide my students the best learning experience.
