I'm a professional musician and passionate music teacher from the Netherlands, moving to Paris in July. With 9 years of teaching experience, I’ve worked with students of all ages, taught in schools, and led music workshops. I studied at the Rotterdam Conservatory, and besides teaching, I perform and compose music with my band.

About Me

I'm from the Netherlands, and I'm moving to Paris in September because my girlfriend, who is from Paris just got a job contract there. I make and teach music: I write songs and perform them live with my band. I also teach piano, keyboard, music production, and solfège to students of all ages and levels.

I’ve been teaching since 2015, offering workshops at schools and teaching four days a week in the Netherlands. Now that I’m moving to Paris I’m looking to connect with new students so I can continue teaching and making music.

I studied at the conservatory in Rotterdam, completing six years of pre-study before starting my bachelor's degree. After two years, my band started gaining momentum, we were performing often and developing rapidly so I decided to pause my studies and fully focus on my own music.

I now have nine years of teaching experience, and I’m still just as enthusiastic as when I started. I love sharing my passion and knowledge of music with others.

As a freelance oboist with over 10 years of teaching experience, both privately and in schools, I offer comprehensive oboe lessons. I am a young Italian professional cellist with 23 years of study and professional experience. I have been living in Paris for four and a half years. I earned a Bachelor's degree from the Turin Conservatory, then specialized in Baroque music in Paris, completing advanced studies at the Paris Conservatory, a Master's degree from the Versailles Conservatory, and a second Master's degree in Classical and Romantic music from the Saintes Conservatory (Abbaye aux Dames). I work with several renowned European early music ensembles such as Le Concert Spirituel, Accademia Bizantina, Les Ombres, and La Chimera. I was a semi-finalist in the prestigious MA Competition 2021 in Bruges. I also play modern music, and with my solo cello and electronic music project, I have had the opportunity to participate in major Italian festivals. In France, I regularly work with the French chanson trio Melquiades.

I offer cello lessons for all levels and all styles (classical cello, baroque cello and modern cello), with the possibility of following the lessons at home, by webcam or at home, in French, Italian and English.

The method that I adopted in my studies and that I teach is Suzuki: working on the student, nourishing his environment with stimuli and simultaneously developing his artistic and technical maturity, his morality and his character.
I also believe in group work, the possibility of playing with friends or colleagues, so I often suggest creating small ensembles to share and learn good music with others.

Learning music, is directly connected to the cognition system of our mind, and our cognition is the first step to perceiving the music, so it is essential to understand music and perform it.
I am proposing classes in Piano, Composition, and Music Theory and writings.
In the class of Piano depending on the student's wishes, we work on different methods, from learning music just as an activity to students who wish to continue their profession as a musician.
The class of composition has the same algorithm as the piano class, the method selection is based on the student's wishes.
Music Theory is proposed in both classes of composition and piano on the side but for the students who wish to learn music theory separately with more concentration, I offer this class as a separate class too.
Class of Harmony and Writing actually has the same situation as music theory classes but students in the course of composition will be more specialized in harmony and counterpoint than piano students and of course, this course is proposed as a separate class too.

Katherine has been vocally trained in contemporary for 25 years and studied classical voice for three years. After developing Muscular Tension Dysphonia in 2010 and not singing for almost two years, she overcame this vocal disorder after working with some of the best voice and voice rehabilitation specialists in the UK. This experience further motivated her interest in teaching the following to her students in contemporary voice* using knowledge and training gained by renowned vocal coaches, ENTs and voice rehabilitation specialists:
