Violin Lessons in person and online for students of all ages

I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After years of training I am currently continuing my violin studies at Utrecht Conservatory. I have also attended music theory class for 6 years, because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. If you would like, I would be more than happy to share some knowledge of music theory along with the violin lessons. Lessons are private and not in groups.

I am a student studying classical viola in the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I like to teach and share my passion of music amongst others. I can teach classical, pop and jazz music-whatever you find most suitable. For me the most important, is for you to come out of the lessons feeling inspired and enriched by music. If you are an absolute beginner, do not worry, we can find the best starting point for you.

I have as well experienced in playing world music. I am very open to whatever type of music you want to learn. Hello music enthusiasts! I believe that playing an instrument is a very unique gift and a great tool for developing concentration, expression and creativity. I would like to take an individual approach with everyone and make sure that the lessons are productive and above all creative, because that's the appeal of music, that we can be the creators of something very beautiful! I would like to cultivate interests to different styles and give space to build and help in the learning process, giving tools for developing technique and musicality, so that you will feel free expressing your interpretation and as well, I will try to give you motivation and inspiration. Greetings! I am currently studying viola performance and education at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I also completed a Diploma in Music Education and Performance at the Royal Irish Academy of Music before coming to The Netherlands. I have had lots of experience teaching in schools and privately, and I get so much joy teaching people and helping them learn an instrument. My main goal as a teacher is to help students find their passion and love for music and for playing an instrument. I am also very practical in my approach to teaching, always trying to make things as clear as possible for each and every student to understand. I have plenty of experience teaching people of all ages. I also have a good knowledge of individual personalities and temperament which helps me to tailor the lesson to suit you individually. When teaching young children, I find that using various different games with and without the instrument helps a lot with their understanding and development. This resonates well with their impressive abilities to play for many hours every day - something which I think is very important for young children to make the most of while they have it. My understanding of the lessons is that every student should come out with the best feeling of wanting to improve their playing, and I always try to motivate every student in whichever way works best for them. I am also very open to using different approaches when it is not working for the student, and I am known to listen very well to feedback like this. I am flexible with the styles of music I teach and have experience in many different genres. If you need some ideas, together we can find the music that suits you best. The majority of students who start out do so on the violin, and some change to viola some time later. Some students who begin their musical journey on the violin go on to play not only viola but other stringed instruments such as cello and double bass if they grow away from the violin at any stage - so choosing violin in the beginning will certainly give you the most options.

My violin lessons are shaped in relation to the student's age, goals and interests. I have experience in teaching to children as well as adults and I like the student to have fun while learning such a wonderful thing as playing music. If you are a beginner I'll start with the basic theory, but always in combination with practical approach on the instrument. I'm mostly working with classical music, but I'm also into other genres and I'm very open to help you in any way I can. I can teach in english and in Italian (working on the dutch!) and I can't provide the violin, but I can give some suggestions about where and how to find it. Please contact me if interested!

Hi, I am Karina and I am passionate to teach you how to play violin. I've a flexible method which focuses on a smooth growth with which you won't get bored and you'll keep enjoying. Every age and level is welcome! It's very important for me to listen to each students' individual needs so I eagerly adjust my method to fit you.

I am Sacha, a violinist with a strong passion for teaching. I was under the tutelage of the great violin pedagogue Mr. Mauricio Fuks in Indiana University (USA) for 3 consecutive years (2018-2021) becoming his teaching assistant for 2 years (2019-2021). Moreover, I have taught young violinists in Elementary Schools, (e.g. Fairview Elementary School) and also collegiate students in the Jacobs School of Music. In Spain, I have teaching experience in several music schools instructing violinists ranging from 3 to 70 years of age. I have also worked with ADHD and autistic students with a great passion for violin playing and music-making. Now, I am pursuing a master's in Violin Performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag, and I am a violin teacher assistant. I have an excellent command of English, good working knowledge of French and basic German. Furthermore, I am currently learning Dutch. I base my teaching method on Suzuki and Galamian methods as well as my own experience. I also teach Music Theory and Solfège.

Would you like to learn some music? I’m a Master student at Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague. I come from Poland and I have been playing violin since 16 years. I have some experience with teaching both kids and adults. Music is my passion and I would like to share it with the others.

I am a violin and piano teacher from Cape Town South Africa where I graduated with Honours in a Bachelor in violin performance from the University of Cape Town with distinction. Most recently I graduated from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague (2021) with a Master's Degree in Music Education (specialising in violin). I have 7 years of violin teaching experience and 3 years of piano teaching experience. Most of my students have been young children but I have also had students of all ages, from children as young as three years old to adults who are in retirement. Attending Kodaly training at the conservatory has equipped me to teach from an auditory and songs based perspective, where singing is integrated into the instrumental lessons. I also use movement inside of lessons, as I have had some training inside of the Dalcroze eurhythmics approach. This approach sees movement as the embodiment of the music. I also actively incorporate elements of creativity in my teaching, for example creating improvisations, or making musical stories. In terms of my own experience in music, I have performed as a solo violinist with the orchestra as well as being an ad hoc tutti violinist for the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, and with the baroque violin for the Camerata Tinta Barocca and Cape Consort. I have performed with traditional African musicians and ensembles, as well as with dancers for instance in MusicDance021 which is an interdisciplinary real-time composition project.

I am currently studying at The Royal Conservatoire in Den Haag and I offer violin and piano lessons for all levels and all ages ! I have experienced in teaching since several years, in music schools and in private ! I would be very happy to share my passion with you and teach you one (or both!) of these beautiful instruments! I like to adapt my pedagogy and my program to each student in order to make them feel comfortable and willing to learn ! For beginners, I will also teach them the basics of solfège. (for more advanced student as well if this is needed of course! ) My lessons are available in French, English and Italian.

Was born to musician family and I am a violinist who is professionally trained for 18 years. Finished Master's Degree with a Cum Laude (distinction) at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, I can teach from the beginning to advanced level of violin playing. But most importantly, I will put my effort to make a musician out of you. I have so much stage experience as soloist and in orchestra around the world. During my education I had years of Music Theory lessons and I can teach and explain theoretical part of music also.

Hi! I'm Vivian, I'm 20 years old and i study classical violin at the conservatory of Utrecht. For my methodology class this year I need to find a student to work with. I need to give a minimum of 10 lessons this school year, you can expect to have a lesson every week. It doesn't matter what level you are on - we will talk about your goals and motivation and I will incorporate that in the lessons. The only thing you have to bring with you is love for music and the violin :) I'm studying classical music, but if you prefer other types of music, that is also completely fine!! these are individual lessons, your wishes are most important!

I teach violin, viola, music theory and solfege, for all levels and ages. There is the possibilty of forming groups for ensemble playing with other students. I accompany my students with the violin or the piano, to further exercise their musical ear, tuning and sense of rhythm. If you have any questions regarding my teaching method, feel free to ask! The classes are taught right next to Grote Markt (Centrum of The Hague).
