I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons to students of all levels. Having 12 years of teaching experience, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the course of learning piano. If the student is interested in a more serious approach, I can also guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exams. I am currently pursuing my third degree (Postgraduate Concertsoloist) at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp, and have obtained my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance/Music from University of Minnesota and TCU-Fort Worth, TX, USA. My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as soloist with orchestra (also as harpist), and receiving top prizes in several competitions.

Hello, I have extensive experience with students of all ages as a teacher of music theory, violin and viola. Custom classes, focused on student interests. I studied violin degree at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo in Spain and viola in Spain and at the Utrechts Conservatorium. The research of my final exam was about well-being and phisical education to improve and accelerate the learning process. I want my students to be aware of the importance of good posture and technique in order to enjoy the learning process without problems.

This course will adapt to your level of play: simple harmonies for beginners and more complex depending on the degree of mastery of the instrument. Hello, my name is Vinicius, I am a Brazilian Biologist and I am a PhD candidate in Neuroscience at VU Amsterdam. I have been playing guitar since I was 11 and I have been teaching the instrument for over a decade now. I believe that motivating the student and helping him to integrate the instrument into his daily routine is the most important role that a teacher can do. My methodology is the flipped-classroom and I use the Google Classroom platform: every week, I will write a study guide with details of what we discussed during class + references (videos/blogs/books). This can be used by the student to study carefully at their own pace. During our next class, we will discuss the points you had the most difficulty and advance your knowledge further. I can also record videos and write essays from scratch specifically for you, whenever the material is not available online. About me I learned to play the guitar on my own - later in life I had classical training at university (singing, piano and classical guitar). I play Fingerstyle guitar, popularized by artists like Andy McKee, Tommy Emmanuel and Antoine Dufour, which consists of playing melody, harmony and percussion at the same time. I have published an EP named "14th of August" with original fingerstyle compositions in 2020.
