Guitar Lessons (Classical, Pop, Fingerstyle) for Beginners and Intermediate StudentsIf you’re just starting out or maybe have always wanted to develop your skills to the next level, I can help you with that! Whether learning the guitar is just a hobby you’re trying out, or maybe you’re thinking of performing for something a bit more serious, it’s always better to have someone to ask and share some of their experience with you.
I am a classically trained guitarist with more than 12 years of performing experience and has been teaching for 6+ years. Having graduated my bachelor’s in Classical Performance for the Guitar in Indonesia, I am currently continuing my graduate studies in the Netherlands. I’ve performed on a series of prestigious concerts, competitions, and festivals, and have had the opportunity to study from the best guitarists around the world.
Most of my former students started their lessons WITHOUT any basic knowledge of music, and that’s okay. The lessons I will give you will not only be on how to play the guitar, but will also cover music theory (and some history) so that you will develop a solid foundation to build your skills upon. I can teach in English or Bahasa Indonesia to students of all ages.

Viola and Violin Lessons: Technique, Improv, and a Healthy Relationship with your InstrumentThis course is for viola and violin students from the beginner through the high school level. My goal is for my students to foster a healthy and long-term relationship with their instrument. The course focuses on practicing and truly understanding technique, with an emphasis on listening. Weekly assignments tend to include technical exercises, scales, and classical pieces of the student's choice. Basic improvisation is also an interest of mine and, I find, a valuable experience for my string students.
I believe repertoire is largely a matter of student taste. Students of mine have learned pieces in the Suzuki books and other classical repertoire volumes, but have also learned pop and fiddle songs according to their interest.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from the University of Puget Sound, where I graduated in 2015 before moving to Vienna to study privately for three years. I am currently in the Master of Viola Performance degree at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where I study with Ásdís Valdimarsdottir. I have been teaching violin intermittently since 2009.
While my musical education is classical, my performance interests are much wider. I have performed jazz and pop improv, and am currently exploring how hip hop can be implemented on the viola and violin.
