About Me

Student at the University of Fribourg, I later wish to teach biology at the gymnasium after a career in marine biology. I am currently in the 2nd year of a Bachelor's degree and I take the time outside of classes to maximize my experiences and have as much contact as possible with others in terms of teaching and culture (for example, I am now a mediator at the Natural History Museum of Fribourg where I pass on to the youngest my passion for nature as well as my knowledge in biology, geography and naturalism.
I like to transmit my passion and I am very sensitive to the needs of my students. I am very open to criticism and I like students who tell me that my way of explaining things does not suit them. I know how to adapt to what the student needs thanks to my sensitivity.

The student's satisfaction in understanding the material after a course is what matters most to me.
Before teaching, I prefer to establish a more friendly teacher-student relationship in order to optimize the course. This allows to create a more pleasant atmosphere and to be able to start the work in good conditions. Then the student explains the problems he encounters at school and we go over the subject together from the beginning in order to ensure a good understanding of the material. I like to explain several times in different ways so that a turn of phrase, a new word, another concept hits the student and allows him to clarify the subject.
After having fully understood the subject, we start the exercises and if the student does well, I let him do it, but if he continues to encounter difficulties, I intervene in the resolution of the exercises in order to unblock him.
