Violin or Piano lessons for all ages in The Hague.

I am a violin and piano teacher from Cape Town South Africa where I graduated with Honours in a Bachelor in violin performance from the University of Cape Town with distinction. I took piano as my second instrument of study. I have 7 years of violin teaching experience and 3 years of piano teaching experience. I also have given musicianship and aural (ear) training classes. I am currently studying a masters in music education at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. Most of my students have been young children but I have also had students of all ages, from children as young as three years old to adults who are in retirement.

Attending Kodaly training at the conservatory has equipped me to teach from an auditory and songs based perspective, where singing is integrated into the instrumental lessons. I also use movement inside of lessons, as I have had some training inside of the Dalcroze eurhythmics approach. This approach sees movement as the embodiment of the music. I also actively incorporate elements of creativity in my teaching, for example creating improvisations, or making musical stories.
I am happy to teach online lessons as well as in-person lessons. In my online lessons, I have the same approach to music lessons, ie. Singing and movements are still incorporated in the lessons. In teaching (particularly in the online format where in-person demonstrations are not possible) I also sometimes compile videos for the students to use to help with practising.

In terms of my own experience in music, I have performed as a solo violinist with the orchestra as well as being an ad hoc tutti violinist for the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, and with the baroque violin for the Camerata Tinta Barocca and Cape Consort. I have performed with traditional African musicians and ensembles, as well as with dancers for instance in MusicDance021 which is an interdisciplinary real-time composition project.

Fantastic teacher. Really engaged with our son. She quickly discovered he loved animals and so made the music about animal sounds, which he loved!

Piano lessons for children/adults, beginner/intermediate
Music lessons in a variety of genres, tailor-made for whatever the student (child or adult) requires. I can teach in a strict "classical" style or any song that the student might want to learn (as a composer I am quite savvy in arranging existing songs in any style and for any level). Input (daily practise) is required from the student for productive lessons and, if necessary, homework is given every week. I have experience with individual or group lessons.

Brisa
Violin and Music Theory Lessons for Children and Adults
After studying for two bachelors and one master degrees in Composition and a professional degree in violin, I am currently a student in Master degree of composition at the Royal Conservatoire of Den Haag. Being involved in music education since I was 6 years old - starting to study in a conservatory at age of 8, together with my eight years of practice as a music teacher - has given me enough experience to understand the and needs of a music apprentice. Music is a wonderfully pleasurable form of expression and should be enjoyed with fun and sensitivity. However, discipline (without pressure) can not be forgotten. In my lessons, I try to train the body and brain simultaneously to develop the student's adequate skills to play the instrument and learn the musical language in an efficient and stimulating way.

I am an experienced violin/viola teacher recently arrived in the Netherlands from Australia. I have a Bachelor of Music (Honours) from the University of Melbourne and am currently completing a Bachelor of Early Music at the Royal Conservatoire at the Hague. I have been teaching for more than 10 years, and since 2013 was running a strings program at a steiner school in Tropical North Australia, as well as running a busy teaching studio and conducting community orchestras in the area. I love teaching and consider it one of my main passions. I enjoy working with students of all ages, and have taught several adult students of varying abilities, as well as children as young as four. I aim for my lessons to be enjoyable, inspirational, systematic, and holistic (covering many different musical aspects and skills in one lesson). I am a friendly and patient teacher who believes in all my students and helps them be the best they can be.

Alba
Violin for begginers and intermediate level. For kids to teenagers or adults that want to learn how to play violin.
I am a student in the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague. I am from Spain and I teach music and violin to students from 7 to 99 years old. My aim to teach is due to my passion for music, being it something that gives people lots of joy and I also consider it's a helpful tool to develop mental, emotional and social capacities. Exploring different feelings and learning how to express them is also a nice part of this job. This way, working with students and teaching them to give what they have on the inside resuts very satisfying for me, as well as seeing them reaching their goals and enjoying the music they love the most. I adapt the lessons to the student depending on his/her goal, requirements and I also let them express their own ideas and resolutions and why they want to learn to play violin. By these lessons I hope to help each child and adult enjoying music and acquiring multiple capacities as creativity, discipline and patience.

Violin for everyone! ABRSM or Trinity are possible
:) Hello! I've studied at the Royal Conservatoire where I followed the “Master in education”. I teach at a studio in the city center or at your place if you wish. I can also do online lessons if you like the idea. I graduated cum laude in my country and specialized in violin education here in Den Haag. I attended masterclasses and workshops with many celebrated musicians. As an orchestral violin player, I toured all over the world from Europe to China, and played with conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Wayne Marshall, John Axelrod, Pascal Rophè and many others. As a teacher, I have been teaching full-time from 2015 and got very good experience ever since. I have familiarity with all the most common syllabi such as Trinity, ABRSM or Suzuki. I like using technology but also new repertoire with different styles in my classes, I generally follow and develop my own pupil's musical interests. If you are a total beginner without any experience or an advanced musician, this class is suited for you! :)

Gina
Piano 🎹 and music theory 🎼 for every age. Learn how to play the piano easily and quickly!
Have you been dreaming to play the piano? Or, you had when you were a kid but then..life happened? I am here to teach you and show you it is never too late! Music is for everyone, from 4-year olds to 80-year olds, no age limit! We create our lessons together and we make them interesting and fun, not strict and boring. My name is Gina and I started to play the piano at the age of 8 and fell in love with it. I consider myself a musician in a more holistic way than just a pianist. I have experienced also multiple other instruments such as the viola, the tampouras (traditional byzantine instrument), as well as different choirs and orchestras. At the age of 21 I gained my first professional degree in harmony of music from the Conservatory "EHOGENESIS" and one year after in classical piano from the Conservatory of Saint-Dimitris. Meanwhile, I was accepted at "The Royal Conservatory" of The Hague, to continue more advanced piano studies. Now I live, study and teach piano in The Hague. The construction of the lessons is tailored on each student's needs and wishes. I choose pieces and exercises from different books, while guiding the students on practising songs that they like. Every lesson is an opportunity to learn something new with main purpose the musicality and expression. The piano lessons are fun and productive at the same time! You can also listen to some of my piano recordings here ⬇️ https://cutt.ly/2l8vZ3J For the students who want to understand deeper the music, I am also teaching music theory. This is a separate class from the piano, but they combine perfectly together. *Lessons take part online (espesially in these Corona times), but of course also in person. Hope to see you soon!

Harp, Piano and Music lessons/workshops for students of any age
By mixing this learning together with my harp (and basic piano) skills, my goal as a Music teacher now is not only to teach you “the right notes”: I will do my best for you to enjoy Music, to discover the instruments, to be creative and curious, to give space to your ideas and to express yourself through playing, using few words but a lot of practice. Every lesson will be a moment of reciprocal exchange of knowledge and ambitions, a new adventure for everyone to learn from each other.
