Trusted teacher: Are you dreaming of playing the piano? Do you want to play FASTER, STRONGER, and sound like a PRO? Are you a beginner and trying to take your first steps on the keyboard? Or do you have some experience and you want to improve your skills? Then let's work together to help you - or your child - achieve your goals, like many other students in my studio! A FEW WORDS ABOUT ME: My name is Gina and I am a piano and music theory teacher. I have been professionally teaching for more than 6 years and have guided children, teenagers, and adults of EVERY age! I consider myself a musician in a more holistic way than just a pianist, having experienced also multiple other instruments such as the viola, the tampouras (traditional byzantine instrument), guitar and voice, as well as different choirs and orchestras. At the age of 21 I gained my first professional degree in music harmony from the Conservatory "EHOGENESIS" and one year later in the classical piano from the Conservatory of Saint-Dimitris. Meanwhile, I was accepted into "The Royal Conservatory" of The Hague, to continue more advanced piano studies. ABOUT THE LESSON: The construction of the lessons is tailored on each student's needs and wishes. I choose pieces and exercises from different books, while guiding the students on practicing songs that they personally like. I also provide basic music theory notes and knowledge, to help with the understanding of the piano and music in general. Every lesson is an opportunity to learn something new and my goal as your teacher is to help you pursue your passion and bring out the BEST in you! The lesson take place either in person or online. *For the students who want to understand deeper the music, I am also teaching music theory as a separate class. Thanks for your interest and see you soon!!

André - The Hague$52
Trusted teacher: Hello! I am classical pianist in the last year of my Master's degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag. I teach Piano (and also Music Education) since 2016, to both children and adults. Teaching allows me to bring my passion and enthusiasm for music to the students, and I also find incredibly rewarding to guide and follow their musical and technical development! I am easily adaptable to the students' musical taste and expectations/goals in music learning, and I am also very mindful of how I communicate, according to the students' ages and personalities. I can teach classical music, pop, rock, or any other style. My approach consists of: giving you the necessary theoretical knowledge for what you wish to play; involving you actively in the choice of the pieces/songs you will play; setting up a long-term plan for your repertoire, so that your development is made step by step in a challenging - but achievable - way (and this way, you will feel more motivated!); giving you enjoyable and creative practicing strategies; creating a rich imagery revolving around the piece - by making up a story, relating the music to emotions, etc.; and also positive feedback! Thus, my lessons will allow you to: - Learn how to read scores. -Develop your musical understanding (from notes, rhythm, harmony, to musical taste, emotional comprehension of the music, or dive into aesthetic principles concerning the period and style of the piece,...). -Improve, step by step, until you are able to play that piece/song that you love. -Prepare yourself for exams. -Etc. The best thing is that it's possible for you to learn all this and have fun at the same time! Any question, don't hesitate to contact me.

Trusted teacher: Piano Lessons in The Hague Learning to play the piano is not only an incredibly useful skill but also an enjoyable and fulfilling process. The instrument can be a gateway into understanding and experiencing music, which is why I believe the piano should be made available to everyone. Children and Adults If you have a child or know someone who has developed an interest in learning the piano, you'd like to learn it as a second instrument, or you are a working professional who just fancies trying something new, I'd be happy to get you started on your musical journey. What to expect? You can learn how to read music, understand simple music theory, play simple chords and scales, develop your own creativity, and we can focus on playing some classical/jazz/pop pieces and even work towards taking online performance exams. I will develop enjoyable lessons tailored specifically to you. Making the first Steps In the beginning piano can be very overwhelming! I take a lot of time on the basics as there is always a lot to learn and take in. I use a variety of beginner method books and resources to help you build your confidence in understanding the piano itself, developing your co-ordination skills, learning to understand the musical notes on the page, developing your musical ear and understanding of basic music theory. Jazz - Pop - Classical After having covered the basics of piano playing, theory and reading skills, many of my students move on to playing classical, jazz, blues or pop pieces, practising scales and finger exercises as well as further strengthening their sight-reading skills. Improvising Or if you perhaps wish to get away from notes written down on the page I can help you to develop your own creativity by understanding theory and applying it to chordal playing, composing and improvising and playing by ear. Practical Lessons From the age of 12, I had classical piano lessons and have always studied the piano as a secondary instrument to the trumpet. I continue to play piano as a hobby and during my studies at the conservatory I developed an interest in jazz piano playing. You can therefore feel confident that no matter what your interest may be (perhaps you haven't figured this one out yet), I can give you high quality fun and enjoyable training in your own interests. No Piano yet? There are a lot of options and things to consider when working out how to get hold of or buy a keyboard/piano which can be confusing and sometimes stressful! I am happy to give advice to ensure the choice you make is right for you. Online Lessons For the last couple of years, I have been teaching lots of students online. Many have found this way not only to be very suitable, but actually their preferred style of learning. Sometimes nothing can be better and simpler than learning in the comfort of your own home. As a teacher I often find the best solution is a mix of both online and live lessons. We can experiment and find the best solution for you. Lesson Location I live in The Hague and teach from my apartment on a Yamaha Acoustic Upright and Electric piano. I'm pretty flexible, so if you're pushed for time or need to work out a better solution, I am happy to travel to another location close by if it's convenient! Get in touch If any of the above sparks your interest for you or a family member, or perhaps you feel like gifting someone you know with some piano lessons, please do get in touch. João - The Hague$61
Trusted teacher: Over João R. Hello everyone! My name is João, piano and harpsichord player. I started playing the piano at the age of 7 years old and, since then, I completely fell in love with all the keyboard instruments and its possibilities of expressivity, the clear sense of making music, interacting with other musicians, for my own pleasure, and for the others. The harpsichord came in my life when I was 15 years old. I absolutely love Classical and Baroque Music and as well as Jazz and Pop. I started teaching piano at the age of 20 and I must confess that it became a great passion in my life! I love to see my students improving, getting acquainted with different music styles and motivated. I'm skilled in teaching kids and adults, beginners or experienced with the keyboard and/or music theory. Therefore, I use different methods, according to the student's needs and expectations. Each student is special so a lesson can differ, depending on the student's level. Normally, I start with warming up and technical exercises (posture is very important!), a brief music theory contextualisation of what is going to be approached in the lesson and, most importantly, have fun and provide a nice atmosphere during the lesson. I've graduated in piano and harpsichord at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2007. In 2012 I've graduated in harpsichord at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, obtaining my Master degree at the same institution in 2014. Currently, I'm doing my Ph.D. studies in Performing Arts at Leiden University/Orpheus Instituut Gent. I teach theoretical music studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and, eventually, accompany and coach students from the Young Talent Music Department. In 2014 I've founded the Baroque Music Orchestra Le Concert d'Apollon, taking the lead of harpsichord player and music director. If you are willing to learn how to play the piano or continue your studies, it will be a pleasure for me to show you how learning a keyboard instrument has so much to add in your life. I can give lessons at my studio in The Hague or travel to your destination. I look forward to meeting you and guide you through the wonderful world of music!

Trusted teacher: First of all, you shouldn’t chose an amateur teacher for a reason of a cheap price! I was struggling to play the piano because of a bad amateur piano teacher before I found real artistic teachers who have certain experiences as concert pianists. After years of removing bad behaviors and techniques, I got very conscious of using my body proper way while Practicing and got so much flexibilities on the piano. I would love to share what I learned with my students! Biography Shintaro is a unique pianist as performing modern and historical pianos parallel. He spent his childhood and student years in Japan. Shintaro continued studying the piano in Lucerne with Konstantin Lifschitz supported by Hella Siegrist Fonds and AOYMA Music Foundation. He performed a concerto for left hand by Ravel with Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and James Gaffigan in KKL Lucerne Concert Hall in 2014. João
I have been taking private lessons from Joao for more than 6 months and I am completely thrilled with it! Although I am a beginner in piano, I can see that Joao is very knowledgeable in his field. What I like most is that he utilizes technology very effectively to help me understand tricky theoretical concepts. He also prepares tailored exercises for me, which makes me feel very valued. He really puts his time in preparing homeworks and supplementary documents even before and after the class to be sure that I understand what he is teaching. Joao is also quite responsive. He is very flexible in terms of the course content and willing to adapt to my changing needs over time. Still, as a teacher, he keeps in mind what foundations I need to build and he does not lose track of what I want as an ultimate goal, so he comes with a structured curriculum that I realize over time. I can only recommend Joao if you are looking for a dedicated piano teacher who loves what he does.

Lise
What a warm welcome by Lisse in her studio. We brought our daughter to her first piano lesson. She is just four but wants to play the piano and sing. Lisse understands the teaching very well and in a playful way she already learned some keynotes (and made her own composition). Lisse is well organised and that you see in the lesson. Our daughter is very excited about her next lesson!
