Violin tuition, Piano tuition and composition/ improvisation instructor

I have been teaching violin and piano for a number of years and have recently made the transition to teaching online!
I was trained at the Royal Northern College of Music and I am very happy to teach all ages and skill sets on both Violin and Piano.
While being classically trained, I have interests in many different genres of music, I run and play with a Gypsy Jazz band, a tango duo and a Ceilidh band and I have strong love of Eastern European folk and Klezmer. Even if I'm not familiar with a certain genre i'm very happy to learn new things, so don't be worried about bringing me unusual pieces of music, or even your own compositions. I have found that teaching is constant a learning curve and no two students are the same, and its always fun to experience something new!

About Me

Hi there,
I am a professional violinist living in Leeds, having just completed my Bmus Honours at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
I have a wide plethora of both performance and teaching experience in many different fields. I started off playing the violin in orchestra's as a young child, both as a a member of the violins and as a soloist, and performed and won a number of competitions on both violin and piano.
In later life, I've developed an interest in a huge variety of music, I play with a Klezmer band, a gypsy jazz band, a tango duo and regularly get work with orchestra's and string ensembles. Along side this I spend much of my free time writing music across a wide range of genres, though unfortunately I feel inadequately trained to teach composition at this point in time!

Any ages and abilities are welcome.
Regrettably, at the current time I am only able to teach online, but on the plus side of that, it means I have been able to meet and teach people on the opposite side of the country.

Education

I studied Violin performance at the Royal Northern College of Music, graduating in 2019.
Prior to that I was taught by some of the countries most illustrious instrumental teachers, including Dr Robert Jacoby.

Oscar is a great teacher!
Hello, my name is Oscar and I am a Violin and Piano teacher from the UK, now living in Berlin. I've been teaching and performing on both instruments for 5 years, during, and after my studies at the Royal Northern College of Music. I have taught children from the age of four, up to adults in their late sixties, and I find all spectrums of age and ability rewarding and engaging to work with. Regarding Violin tuition, I am happy to teach up to any level. On the piano I however, I currently prefer to teach up to an ABRSM grade 8 level, and not far above it. My musical endeavours, whilst focused predominantly on the Classical style in my early childhood, have become quite varied and I am a great lover of many different styles. I play regularly in Klezmer bands, Celtic Folk groups and I run a Gypsy Jazz Collective, besides performing with Orchestra's, Small string ensembles, and as a Solo Violinist. Whilst I wouldn't consider myself to be an expert, I thoroughly enjoy guiding people through the early stages of learning to improvise, and I am equally comfortable working with students in this way as I am teaching in a more tradition, classically orientated manner. I look forward to hearing from you! Oscar

Piano and Guitar Classes for Entry levels, Beginners, and Intermediates
I teach Entry level/Beginner/ Intermediate Piano and Guitar lessons with a focus on different styles, techniques, and rhythms from a broad base of musical genres. Classes are designed for aspiring musicians with some musical background and also those with little or none. Each lesson is designed to keep the student at the peak of their abilities by giving both challenging new pieces and reinforcing their own technical skill. I also put some emphasis on incorporating students' own personal musical tastes and styles to bring their passion to the music they want to play. In the first lesson, we can get to know each other and you can get an idea for how the lessons will be taught while letting me know what elements you'd like to focus on in the future.

Fun Through Music: Violin and Music Theory Lessons
Hello, I'm Adelina! I'm Romanian and I've recently graduated my master’s in violin performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp. Apart from playing music, one of my other passions is teaching. While having a degree in pedagogy, I've had several violin and music theory students so far. I’m experienced with teaching children/teenagers between the ages of 4 and 15. I’m fluent in Romanian and English, however I’m able to have basic conversations in Russian as well and I’m in the process of learning Dutch. Don't hesitate to contact me and let's make learning fun! :)

I hold a Bachelor's degree in jazz piano from the Conservatory of Vicenza, Italy, a Master and a PhD in composition from the University of Leeds, UK. In 2011, I attained a scholarship as promising student of the Conservatory of Vicenza. From 2006 to 2009 I was volunteer at a special needs-school, using music as a form of therapy. From 2013 to 2015 I studied Piano at the Conservatory ‘Prince Claus’ in Groningen, The Netherlands where I worked mostly as a performer. In 2019 my CD ‘Breaths’ was released by British label Another Timbre. My pieces have been broadcasted by Keith F’eM, Concertzender Radio, and Radio 3 and my scores have been published in IM–OS Improvised Music-Open Scores and THE MASS. I've been teaching piano, music theory, improvisation, and composition for 12 years now. I teach either online or at my place in Berlin, Mitte.

Learn Piano and Improvisation and practice other languages :)
The most important matter that I could write here about is my passion to teach. I've been teaching already for more than 10 years, from kids to adults. I'm a classical pianist, but I am opened to other musical styles. What I want you to get from your lessons with me, is not only a huge knowledge of theorical stuff or a great technique, I would like to show you my musical world, the imagination and inner exploration that is required to understand and to love music in a whole new level. Once you have found them, it will be very hard to quit playing! The class duration: You can choose! 20 minutes (Great for the youngest : 3 years old) 30 minutes (Ideal for young beginners from 4 years old) 45 minutes (Intermediate+ adult beginners) 1 hour (Intermediate and combined with some Music Theory) I use different methods depending on: 1) The goals of my student 2) The language that we will use on class 3) Age and musical preferences: I start to teach children from 3 years old, we make games and they learn to play through musical stories that I have created throughout my pedagogical career.

Piano lessons for professional musicians or students want to study as a hobby
My basic principle and method in piano teaching are to show how to work on piano as a self-education. Most students cannot continue their studies after they stop working with a teacher. I explain the efficient ways of working with the instrument. I suggest taking 4-8 hours of lessons per month. Each lesson can be between 1-2 hours. It depends on the level of the student. During the class, I assign students to have at least 20 minutes of finger exercises, then to work on pieces that were individually programmed with the student. Additionally, I give listening, reading, and video as homework. I allow students to send me any progress or questions via recorded video or video interview so that they can follow their work until the next class.

Dominyka is a professional singer, singing and piano teacher that is currently based in The Hague. She plays piano, violin and writes her own music. She has developed her knowledge about vocal technique, CVT method, stage presence, body language, story telling, composition, writing, improvisation, and so on. with various great teachers from all over the world. As well as, she had an honour to participate in workshops of Snarky Puppy, Dianne Reeves, Dena DeRose, Bob Stoloff, Norma Winstone, Fay Classon, etc. In addition, she took a course of Stevie Mackey, Cheryl Porter and had lessons with Natalie Weiss. "I feel like voice is a unique thing and music is such a good therapy. I believe everyone can sing, and I believe that everyone could sing greatly if they are patient and put work in it." - Dominyka "I promise that with our singing lessons you will learn more about your own voice and that you will develop your own sound as a singer. We work on warm ups/warm downs, breath support and its control, sound projection, how the larynx, jaw and tongue work and can be functioned freely, vowel placement, vocal effects, vocal colour, dynamics, articulation, stage presence, high notes - power singing (belting), jazz improvisation, vocal improvisation, interpretations, rhythmic variations, and so much more. My goal for you is to have the best time and spend lesson's time wisely while we achieve the best results in singing. If there is a wish, I can also help you to broaden your knowledge about the repertoire that is suiting to your voice colour, recording sessions, live performance situations, "a workout plan for singing", songwriting/composing, music theory, ear-training, solfeggio, and such." I can help all who are interested in finding their own authentic voice. P.S. ALL STYLES ARE WELCOME ! (pop/jazz/rnb/musicals/and so on) If you wish to learn how to play piano, read the notes, learn the basic or advanced music theory, practise solfeggio or learn more about jazz harmony - reach out to me because I teach that as well. See you soon.

Piano lessons - music theory and harmony - for any level
I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Music Lessons / Piano Lessons / Music Theory in Erpe-Mere (Burst)
I have been giving private music lessons and fortepiano for a long time. In addition to my classical music education in 2000, I obtained my bachelor's degree in psychopedagogy in 2006. This year I am interested in expanding my practice to include more students with special needs. I learned about the different ways music can help students with special needs. It helps them express their emotions and develop their memories and self-regulatory skills. It can show them strengths that they might not otherwise find during their school day. It can also open their eyes to a whole world of expression and beauty, enriching their lives. I find out what works for a particular student, what distracts them, what motivates them, what helps them focus and sometimes just learn how to relate to them. As a music teacher I enjoy working with the special needs students with autism and visual impairment
