I am Carlos (08/02/1992), professional violinist and violin and viola teacher. I started playing the violin when I was 15 years old. This means I can still clearly remember the methods and techniques I used to learn how to play the violin. I will certainly take these experiences with me into my teaching position. These insights allow me to teach each student according to his/her desires and needs. My passion for teaching started when my father and nephew wanted to learn to play the violin. Since then I have continued to teach many students because I get energy and inspiration from my students. In recent years I have taught many different students and because of this I have gained a lot of experience in using different methodologies. Teaching is a big responsibility. My priority is to let the student have fun while learning and to stimulate musicality/creativity. Every student is different and has different interests, therefore every student will be taught in a different way and with a different method. The styles I teach can vary from classical to jazz, pop, etc. I have taught students of different levels both in Spain and in the Netherlands: beginners, amateurs, advanced. So I teach students who are preparing for the conservatory, but also the very first beginners. Because I am from Spain, I can teach in Spanish, English and Dutch.

I read pieces of text with the student (e) and enter conversations in the relevant language. Depending on the problem, I also link back to earlier material because something has often gone wrong. I give piano lessons at home based on the experience of the student himself. For example: a student has studied a piece of music or a song or invented something himself; on the basis of that piece I can hook up on technique, chords, noting the notes myself, or a piece of theory. Depending on age, knowledge and development, I can add something, or we can watch a tutorial or other examples on YouTube for example. I give piano lessons, but I also think it is important to teach people to make music (together). In the lessons I focus more on light than classical music. I am a classical pianist who had a professional piano training in the conservatory and have more than 9 years teaching experience. I give lessons in for children(from 7 y-old) and adults, all levels are welcome! My teaching concept is based on "how to play piano with mindfulness": Piano playing for me is a meditation, since years I have experienced my own way of spiritual growing which connect to my piano playing intimately, I feel very much to help people through the music. It is always inspired me to work with students and to see how much they grow in music. In the lesson I focus on classical music but you can also bring your favorite one(any), and you will learn different piano playing skills, music theory, and how to play/practice piano with your consciousness.
