I have been tutoring students from primary and secondary school since the age of 18, and I’m currently 24. Throughout these years, all of my students have passed their exams — not just because they practiced exercises, but because I helped them develop a deep understanding of each subject and learn how to study independently.

My approach focuses on creating confident, self-sufficient learners. I tailor each lesson to the student’s level and learning style, ensuring they build a solid foundation and meaningful insight into the subject.

My name is Valentin and I have a master's degree in Physics from ENS Lyon. In 2017 I became the youngest medalist at the International Physics Olympiad. Currently I am doing my doctoral studies in Basel. My scientific approach favors above all the in-depth understanding of concepts rather than the simple learning of the laws of physics by heart. I have experience solving very complex problems in physics and mathematics, where just knowing the formulas is not enough. It is by grasping the deeper meaning of these formulas that we can effectively apply them in a broader context and thus facilitate the search for solutions.

I start by doing a short assessment of the student's level, followed by identifying their main difficulties in the subject. Then I explain difficult concepts in detail and show how I would approach different problems through concrete examples. I'll break down complex formulas into simpler pieces to explain what they mean, rather than just memorizing them. Additionally, I will try to make the topic more interesting and interactive, referencing real-world examples and experiences, wherever applicable.

I offer courses for students of all levels, up to the third year of university in physics and the second year in mathematics.
