AdityaMathematics for secondary school students (English)
Hi! I am Aditya.
I’m a student who is about to graduate the bachelor program in electromechanical engineering at KU Leuven campus groep T. As a result of my passion for math and my want to earn a little extra money, I am offering math tuitions. The tuitions are for secondary school students studying any level of math and english is the medium of instruction. Though I am only a university student, I have an adequate understanding of math for the secondary school level. I completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Math Higher Level (Math HL) course with the highest possible score – 7/7. Also, I topped my school both with my math score and my overall score.
Apart from teaching topics within math, I know how to score marks – what examiners look for and how they score papers. My classes combine a healthy mix of subject-related teaching and instructions on how to score the maximum possible marks (even if you don’t know the answer!).Since I’m a student my timings are flexible, but please tell me 1 day in advance if you wish to cancel or postpone class.
KaranBasic concepts of Physics and Math (Bachelor level)
Understanding a concept is the fastest and surest way to learn something. Instead of blindly following formulae, I believe it's important to question why a step is being done, at every step. I encourage students to explore and think for themselves, while also sticking to short and long-term goals. I have experience in tutoring high school and bachelor students and welcome the challenge to teach the same concept in a novel way, something that you can relate to!
Murat HanHigh School Mathematics (IB), Physics (IB), Chemistry (IB) , Lab Reports and Individual Investigations, SAT Maths
I am an electromechanical engineering student at KU Leuven. I have completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme with high level in Maths, Physics and standard level in Chemistry. Because it has only been 1 year since I finished the IB programme, my course knowledge is still fresh.
I believe I carry the traits of a creative thinker with an enthusiast to learn and teach. I have heard that in my high school my teachers are introducing my lab reports and investigations to the students as samples with high creativity and quality.
I can help the middle school and high school students with their Maths, Physics, and Chemistry courses along with the lab reports and investigations. Tutoring will be in English.
ClémentMathematics, Statistics, Programming, French, English, Dutch
Engineering student passionate about mathematics, computer science and statistics. I teach beginners / false beginners of all ages. (level: high school / bachelor not specialized in these topics). I also have a strong knowledge of English (C1), Dutch (C1) and French (mother tongue).
I am currently finishing a bachelor degree in "Business & Information Systems Engineering" taught in Dutch at the Ku Leuven. The latter is a fairly general bachelor which gives me an overview on the scientific spectrum. Despite this, I was able to specialize in applied mathematics and computer science from the start. I have always been very won over by the accuracy and solidity with which mathematics (or science in general) tackles any subject.
I would expect the student to tell me exactly what's the issue he's encountering (if he is able to do so, which is not always the case when we are lost in a subject), and if he preaches a certain way to another to achieve its goals. With me, the student is king and it is therefore he who totally opts for the pedagogy he wants (I am open to really everything). Secondly, I myself have always been a very slow learner, which makes me a very patient and empathetic teacher. I obviously don't promise to have the answer to everything, all the time, straight away. I even hope that the pupil gives me glue, so that we can think about it for a while together or that I too can learn something in my turn.
Jessica MaeChemistry and General Science Private Tutoring for Students
I am currently a graduate student studying Educational Science. Before moving to Belgium I was the head of the science department at an international school in Shanghai, China. I have taught AP, MYP, and DP chemistry. I also have experience tutoring AP, MYP, DP, and IGCSE chemistry. I have taught students from over 20 different nationalities with various science backgrounds. Chemistry is a beautiful and universal language! My course will be tailored to the needs of the student, I will provide additional resources and progress reports as needed.
LucasEnglish and Math for Prep Tests (TOEFL/GRE), Academic English, Portuguese (native speaker)
I offer classes for two different groups:
- Young adults preparing for TOEFL/GRE with sessions focused in solving exercises from the exams and improving the student's skills
- Academic English for researchers and people in academia, where we focus on methods, format and language of academic texts. Sessions could be focused on review the student paper
A little about myself. I am Ph.D. student in Electronic Engineering at Imec, Leuven. I lived in the USA twice, as an exchange Student at MIT for a year and as a J1 worker at McDonald's for 3 months. I have scored 103 and 112 in the two times I did the TOEFL exam, and I scored at the 99% math percentile in my GRE score. I was born in Brazil, thus Portuguese native speaker, and I have lived in Leuven for two years, so we can communicate in basic Dutch.
AlexanderHigh School & University Level Math/Engineering Tutoring
I am offering a tutoring program for students who wish to improve their math, engineering and/or physics skills. I am currently a masters student in mechanical engineering at KU Leuven. I recently graduated from the University of Toronto with honors in mechanical engineering. I have been tutoring since I was a high school student myself with the philosophy that practicing the theory learned in class with immediate feedback will improve learning and help students achieve their academic goals.
DylanMathematics and Physics tutoring (high school - university level)
I am an Oxford Physics graduate with two years experience as a private tutor, teaching students Mathematics and Physics (Primarily for UK A-level). I have also helped students in the past in preparing for entrance exams and interviews for top UK universities such as Oxford, Cambridge and Imperial College London.
My tutoring style works on the spirit of cooperation, we will work on problems and examples together, with lots of discussion and additional questions to help the student build enough confidence to tackle problems by themselves. I will then set students homework to complete by themselves based on the tutorials, to reinforce the concepts introduced there.

I am a fresh PhD in theoretical Physics, currently working as a post-doc researcher at KUL with focus on string theory. I offer Math/Physics classes and/or tutoring service for high school and university students. Let me know what you want to learn and I will customize the class for your needs :)
KondelinaMath or English tutoring, also SAT preparatory tutoring.
This course is fitted individually, depending on the needs of the student.
If the student would like to focus on grammar then the material should be sent beforehand so I can have a chance to look at it and prepare for any questions that may arise.
If the student would like to focus on spelling and/or spoken English then no material should be sent beforehand, just an overview of the request.
If the student would like to focus on reading I'll supply the materials depending on their level.
As for math, I only teach high school students and first year University students. The material for the class should be sent to me beforehand so I can be better prepared to answer any questions.

Arina(Private) Math tutoring for secondary school students
- As for the lessons.
The lessons are about mathematics of secondary education. More specifically, I will assist in the theoretical processing of mathematics as its application (the exercises).
In addition, I will provide additional study material (aids, schedules, ...) if necessary.
- Way of handling.
I would like to have an overview in advance of the study material, the tests or tasks in which certain problems are visible, .... This way I can prepare the lessons in advance and focus on the problem. In addition, I can estimate / determine his / her level in this way.
I try, in a simple way and for the student in an understandable way, to explain the course in a different way so that this is clear to the student. Afterwards I like to enjoy the results.
- Why am I doing this?
Math is a passion of mine and for me there is nothing more fun than sharing my passion. Unfortunately, my love for mathematics is not part of my studies and that is why I like to do this as a hobby and as an extra income. Of course I work professionally.
I love nothing more than tutoring my fellow students about the subject matter. This is appreciated by them.
Of course I also have experience in tutoring mathematics of both primary and secondary education.
- Who am I?
My name is Arina and I am a legal practice student. I am 20 years old and I live and work in student housing in Leuven. In high school I had a traumatic experience in the first and second high school for mathematics. I thought it was a very interesting subject, but I couldn't get it. After (tutoring by my parents) tutoring my interest in mathematics has increased as I started to study economics mathematics in the following years. My love for math doesn't seem to go away ...
