Hi, I'm Caitlin, I'm a professional violinist and violin teacher. I play in orchestras and ensembles and have been teaching the violin as well for the past two years. I learned how to teach violin from the best and will be able to guide you or your child towards a good level of playing. If you are at a more advanced level I can help you develop musically, overcome hurdles and enhance the joy of playing as well as prepare for conservatoire studies. Violin & Viola lessons are for anyone who wishes to start playing, continue or rusume studying, for both children and adults. ​I combine various practices which I believe create a greater whole. I teach basic to advance techniques in reprtoire which corresponds with the student's personality and ranges from classical to contemporary, improvisation, world, folk, pop, rock and more. I combine repertoire with improvisation, composition, movement and other an interdicsiplinary manner. My method is personal and about listening to the student wishes and ideas. About me - I've graduated BA in Viola from The Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance and BA and MA in Composition at The Royal Conservatory including an Erasmus semester at MIAM, ITU, Istanbul. I was born in 1986 in Israel. Currently I live in Amsterdam. I play viola, compose acoustic and electronic music (often involving theater and film), draw faces and make large-scale collages out of them, dance, research and experiment with movement & music, make performance-art, sing, improvise, make videos, write about my dreams, write poetry, perform as a soloist and with ensembles, initiate and taka part in many musical and cross-art collaborations.

I offer violin, viola, and music theory lessons for all levels. I can adapt to any schedule and need. I have 8 years of experience as a teacher in private classes and music schools. During all these years as a teacher, I have been able to experiment and learn from my students to develop a pedagogical method that is adapted to the needs of each person. My main objective is for the student to learn the technique of the instrument through musicality so that he can enjoy and create while learning. My name is Daniela, and I am a cross-over violist from Costa Rica. I moved to the Netherlands in 2020 to pursue my studies at Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Classical Music (Viola). I am currently continuing my journey at Codarts with a Master's degree in Latin Music. During my time in the Netherlands, I have been part of a wide range of musical projects across different genres — from classical orchestras and chamber music to pop, jazz, and world music collaborations. I've performed with ensembles such as the Jong Metropole and recorded with various pop, jazz, and fusion bands. I am also the bandleader of my own Latin project, La Reunión, and work as a freelance musician with diverse musical groups. Before moving to the Netherlands, I studied Music Education at the University of Costa Rica and worked for several years as a private teacher. I have experience teaching violin and viola to both children and adults. As a teacher, I am kind and patient. I believe in the value of consistent, focused work and in helping students grow step by step. I aim to make the learning process feel easy and fun!
