I usually teach math and economics in English to students who want to become scientists. I help write a good paper. As long as Corona is there, it is possible via Teams, Zoom, or Skype, but in principle, the lessons in my building are within walking distance of the Central Station.

During my studies in Econometrics at the University of Amsterdam (graduated in 2015, MSc.) and in addition to my job as a consultant, I have always taught mathematics and statistics to secondary school students and university students (HBO and WO) with great pleasure. Since 2022 I work parttime as a math teacher and educational advisor in the Emma Children's Hospital in Amsterdam and besides I teach private students. Lessons can be taught in English or Dutch and face-to-face or online, depending on the location. Location face-to-face classes: Citizen M Amsterdam, at your home or in the public library. It is possible to arrange group lessons (max 3 students).

Math, at all levels, is a subject that requires a lot of effort, time, and understaning. Being followed by a tutor is in some cases essential to understand all of the topics and succeed in tests, exams and even homeworks. Coming from a Mathematical and Scientifical High School in collaboration with the Padua University I learned how to deal with many different students for many different topics. The goal of the class is to make the students understand math thanks to adaptability of speech and patience from the teacher. The main focus of this class is algebra and trigonometry but I will be able to teach at any level until bachelor degree, I am very comfortable at teaching with people all age, showing seriousness with young adults and adults and patience and inventive with younger students ( even kids)

Do you have trouble with History? I'm coming to save you! History is a subject with many questions, from which one can learn a lot. Questions about the past, or questions about the present. I am Merijn, 20 years old, and student of History at the Free University of Amsterdam. Ever since primary school, I have been interested in the profession. In addition, I spend a lot of free time reading subject-related books and watching programs, documentaries, etc.. I took the history course at the Atheneum and eventually passed. I still had a hard time answering questions on my test. I often wrote 8 pages full just to make sure I got something right, haha. Giving witty, relevant answers is very important here, and I've learned to master this over the years. I can help with questions from primary school level, up to 6th year VWO, in which it does not matter which period in history this is about. In addition, I can help with teaching material offered by your school, but I can also bring my own material or ask other questions, which might make it just a bit easier to understand. Hopefully I'm speaking to you, because I'm always ready to answer questions and help you to get a better grade or better mastery of the subject!
