Playing Flute (dwarsfluit) - Any age, any genre, starting now

My name is Tatiana and I am a flute player and an electronic musician.
My passion for music first started when I was young and my parents showed me Brazilian folk music and I felt that I wanted to be able to play some of my favourite songs.
I ended up in a classic conservatory and throughout my career I developed myself both as a classical and folk musician.
I started to teach when I was 18 and for 6 years I taught in a project similar to the one of El Sistema in Venezuela. There I found how music can take such a social action on a community and develop the feeling of responsibility and friendship.
In our lessons I would love tho share this feeling with you and enable you to develop the tools to share your passion with the world. This can come from playing a song, learning how to program or just by finding new ways on how to hear and experience music.
This class is open to anyone from any age.

Biography
Tatiana is a Portuguese flutist and audio-visual artist, currently based in Amsterdam. Her current research is deeply linked with contemporary performance art’s potential to fuel socio-political change. In her work, she tries to expand on the close relationship between art, social inequality and technological impact. As an audiovisual maker she aims for the articulation of a conceptual space that leads to a shared cognitive experience between herself (as a maker performer) and the audience. In her most recent works, this has been achieved by performing translations from one media art form to another. These began to occur naturally, by way of a growing interest in concepts such as synesthesia, synchronization and processes such as intermedia translation and interpretation and the way these can relate to the social sphere. She has presented work in The Netherlands, Portugal, France, Greece, Iceland, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Belgium, United Kingdom, Spain and Poland as part of festivals such as Rewire, Amsterdam Dance Event, Gaudeamus Muziekweek, Athens Digital Arts Festival, O. Festival, Cello Biënnale Amsterdam, Sounds of Music Groningen, Plan B Art Festival, Amsterdam Fringe Festival, Nowy Teatr, Festival Música Viva, Warsaw Autumn, among others. She regularly collaborates with Asko|Schönberg Ensemble, ENOA and the Futurists. Tatiana is an artist in residency in Splendor Amsterdam as part of their Jonge Honden program until September 2023.ithin the ensemble Trash Panda Collective.

Nay, Ney, Turkish woodwind flute lessons for beginners
Turkish reed flute is an essential instrument of Turkish Classcial Music. It has a deep and dense culture dating from 13. century around. If you want to learn about how to perform it you first need a teacher educated by masters on this field. As of many teachers you can find online but you make sure that not every tutor meets with traditional style. Solfege and method are inseperable parts of the lessons. So for beginners and intermediate students must follow a compotent tutor to learn about the way of classic form.

Flute classes, musical language, preparation for conservatory entrance tests...
Professional flutist. Higher Degree in Interpretation and Master's Degree (+ Music Training) at the Higher Conservatory of Music of the Liceu of Barcelona. Flute and/or musical language classes are offered to beginner or intermediate level students, as well as preparation for conservatory entrance tests, reinforcement of analysis, music history... Adaptation to each student taking into account their particular needs and objectives. The classes aim to provide the student with technical tools with the instrument so that they can advance, enjoy and, most importantly, avoid frustration by knowing how to study later at home. I would like to help young flutists by sharing everything I have learned during my years of training. I think that many times you do not have the right teachers and the student can become frustrated by not making progress. My goal is to help prevent this from happening :)

Giampaolo
Private Flute lessons from beginner to advanced level
Ciao! My name is Giampaolo. I have recently moved to Edinburgh from Sicily, Italy, where I worked as a music teacher for 13 years. I have been teaching the flute since I was 15 years old. Most of all I think learning music should be enjoyed. While it is a challenge to learn a new skill, for beginners, or to master a new piece, for the more advanced, I aim to make this challenge enjoyable at every stage. I enjoy teaching students of all abilities, from teaching beginners the basics to helping more advanced flautists play new styles. If a student has a technique that they would particularly like to improve, I tailor the lesson to fit the student's needs, so he/she feels happy they are working towards their own goals. I have been teaching the flute privately for 13 years since I was 15 years old. During this time I have taught students of all ages, from children to adults, and have also taught at primary school (for one year) and secondary school levels (two and a half years).

Laura
Flute and Music Theory tuition for students of all levels
I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.

Nozomi Kanda
Japanese shinobue flute lessons online or in Brussels
The shinobue is a flute that is used in street music but also in more sophisticated artistic performances. Japanese music has developed its own conception of beauty. Learning this music is a way to enter Japanese culture! Traditionally, Japanese music is learned orally through shoga (a song using onomatopoeia). During the course, you also experience this method and will learn several types of music. Course: From 1 to 3 lessons per month / 1 lesson only and possible too *I help you find and buy the instrument Some testimonies A few years ago, I was looking for a shinobue teacher on the Internet because I wanted to join the dance and music group of the Kagura Autumn Festival (in Japan) I found Nozomi Kanda's page and videos. I was pleasantly surprised that she played Western classical music, contemporary music and also Japanese music. With Nozomi's knowledge of Western and Japanese music culture, it is always very inspiring for me to learn from her. Eventually, I might become a member of the Kagura band and I hope to be able to play contemporary music too in the near future. By studying shinobue, I can deepen my knowledge, insight and experience of traditional Japanese crafts and arts. Nozomi, thank you very much. (Japanese paper craftsman / Shikoku - Japan / Online course) --- I started the shinobue class 9 months ago. After several lessons, I mastered the basic techniques under Nozomi's patient teaching. I started playing several scores with the other students. Together we participated in an end of year show. I am very happy to have the opportunity to share the delicate sound of shinobue with others. In the future, I would like to always be able to take my flute on vacation. I'm going to become a nomadic flautist! :) (Employee / Paris - France)

Thore
Flute lessons (E/NL/GER) for beginners to advanced flutists
Hi, I am Thore. I’m a German Bachelors degree flute student at the Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen. During my studies here I could and still can gather a lot of knowledge about methodology and pedagogy and could already make a few teaching experiences. For me teaching means learning from each other. Thus the student of course gets insight to my knowledge about music and instrumental technique but I will also learn a lot from the student about the individual factors of flute playing and music making in general. In my lessons I focus a lot on breathing and posture because for me these two are the most influential factors to healthy and beautiful playing. I am also open to incorporating the students musical interests e.g. Disney- and Pop-songs. Lessons can be conducted in Dutch, English and German.
