I am Luna. I am a dedicated flutist and musician that who came to Amsterdam after winning the Academy Audition at the Royal Concertgebouworkest. After my year with the orchestra I decided to investi in my career and life here in the Nettherlands and I am willing to help and share music through any level or teaching.
I love to make kids love music and my instrument, but I also follow young colleagues that are already approaching semi professional and professional playing supporting them in audition training.

Together we prepare an individual program that meets your needs and wishes. During the lessons we go for a relaxed good posture, you’ll learn a good breathing technique to play with beautiful sounds. After, we'll begin by learning to repeat melodies, playing them by ear and by copying rhythmic patterns to develop a sense of rhythm and musicality. Along the way you learn to read music notes and simple music theory, so you can quickly play fun songs from sheet music!

Flute Duets

During the lessons, we will also play flute duets. This is always a lot of fun, and this way we’ll prepare you for playing together with other instrumentalists. The coolest thing there is!

A typical lesson may consist of working through scales, etudes, and repertoire. Incorporating the development of technique, breathing, articulation, embouchure development. I have extensive experience as a performing musician and I am happy to help you with a solo repertoire in various styles and of course orchestral and chamber music parts. Learn to play legato, staccato, from pianissimo to fortissimo with a bright and warm sound, music comprehension, rhythm study, and overall musicianship.

I have 15 years experience of playing flute and as well experience with teaching children. In 2016 I finished my musical education for flute with the "AUDIT OF ART", which also includes a advanced knowledge of music theory, and since then I give private lessons. I also play guitar and flute.

I have an encouraging and supportive teaching method, and am happy to prepare pupils for practical music examinations if they wish. I have experience with both ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall syllabuses. For the flute lessons, I offer exercises for sound, technique, adapted pieces. During music theory lessons, I can give tips for learning to read keys, rhythms, and offer dictations. I pay special attention to creating a personalized education and experience for every one of my students. I also give some additional tools applicable to the flute playing which includes: The Inner Game of Music, Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique and Body & Mind. All the basic theory is taught too.

I graduated with a Master's in recording at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam Cum Laude, with a scholarship from The Countess of Munster Musical Trust. Previously, I graduated from the Royal College of Music London with a First-Class Joint Honours Bachelor’s degree in Flute and Recorder. In 2021 I was a finalist for the Moeck/SRP recorder competition as part of the London Early Music Festival.

Throughout my career I had won numerous prices and was able to perform throughout Europe. I’m currently studying at the Conservatory van Amsterdam. I’m teaching private lessons as well as giving masterclasses at festivals.
