If you've always wanted to learn French (or improve yourself) but: - you can't stand the classic grammar / translation method, - you learn at school but always felt like everything you did was useless, - you believe like listening and speaking are the best ways to learn a language, - you want to improve your skills but you feel like you're stuck at a certain level, well, then, I'm the one you need! Whether you're an absolute beginner, or intermediate, or if you just want to get better in some particular fields, I can help you, and most importantly: I can get you to speak in French as much as possible in each and every lesson . The lessons are 95% in French, because being surrounded by the language is the key to success. English can be used only in emergency situations and to help you remind some things, or if you really need an explanation on anything then of course I'm here for you. Now, how are we going to proceed? In other words, how do I work? 3 key elements: - SPEAKING: The lessons are focused on speaking as I said earlier. That's why I use a lot of images to avoid translating. Why should I tell you that "bottle" is "Boute" in French, if I could just show you one and directly name it in the target language? When it comes to more complicated words or concept, I use a range of methods that are going to make you guess the meaning. - SPEAKING AGAIN: During the lesson, we're going to discuss some themes while introducing new vocabulary and grammar. (Disclaimer: grammar is here used as a mean of communication, you can forget all about the theory and long explanations about how to use something, except if it's what you wish, then of course I can adapt the lesson to your needs). Each lesson contains a vast majority of practice exercises to give you the opportunity to express yourself actively in the target language (question / answers, games etc). - ALWAYS SPEAKING: At the end of each lesson, we do a performance activity. That is a free speaking time where you're just going to speak as much as possible with me (it could be a roleplay, problem solving etc), trying to use as much as possible the new words you just learn! Before starting, I suggest we meet online to get to know each other and talk about your needs and expectations. That's the best way for me to set personalized goals just for you. eg: If you're an unemployed and the lesson's goal is "talking about you job", we're not going to do a roleplay where you're talking to you colleague about you last project, but we could set the personalised goal of "talking to my counselor about my dream job".

Trusted teacher: ***** Availability update made on 09/01/2020. Valid until further notice ***** I offer you my services in order to make you truly effective orally / in writing in English. If you have to use English in the course of your professional activity and you don't get comfortable with it ... If you are tired of being spotted immediately as French ... If you don't know still not when to use the present perfect / preterite .... I'm here to help you and make you progress. * Linguist by training and author of school textbook in this capacity. Note that I am not this young student who had a good mark in the Baccalaureate or this other who is supposedly bilingual. I have been teaching as a teacher in the National Education since 1995 and I can tell you that teaching cannot be improvised. It is not an activity that we do "like that". I offer you my expertise and my experience. By the way, to have 10/20 in the Baccalaureate, it is enough to have the A2 level (which is theoretically expected at the end of 3rd year) so I let you imagine the desperation of future engineers who must obtain at least 750 in the TOEIC! (the equivalent of level B2!) * Daily monitoring possible via internet. * Each course is prepared according to your needs. Feedback is always given. * Specialized in "phonology": intonation, word accent, connections ... Oral grammar. * Adaptation to all levels: from college to post-baccalaureate through high school. => Post-bac: preparation for TOEIC, TOEFL, iELTS, Cambridge First-Certificate, Advanced Certificate. => Orals and writings from grandes écoles such as ENA => Orals and writings from business schools (Tremplin-Passerelle ...) Please do not hesitate to contact me for further details.

Superb experience with Raef. I asked for his help to prepare a math assessment test with an enormous lack of basis but he accepted the challenge. I found out a nice teacher who is not afraid of explaining and repeating if necessary. I did enjoy his method with the whiteboard, it feels like you are in the same place and can interact on the same exercise. Either in English or french he will certainly be able to help you. He is super kind and flexible, I definitively recommend his services.

Angelique is very competent and professional with a direct approach, you can tell she is seasoned in her experience and her English, when required, is also very good. I am looking forward to her teaching / learning method - I know from past experience it is very hard to teach me French language - if anyone can teach me I am sure Angelique can!

Learn English for all levels of experience from 'Hello' to 'Goodbye' and everything in-between (Lisbon)
Jack has a great style of teaching! He is very precise in assessing the student's level and he plans the class structure accordingly. From the very beginning, Jack has ensured me that teaching another language is more than possible even if you don’t have a language in common - he is the prime example of an excellent teacher!
