Hello, my name is Tin and I teach double bass, electric bass and music theory. I completed a master's degree in jazz double bass and electric bass at the Graz University of Art and specialize in popular music, jazz and improvisation. In my teaching method, I like to track each student's progress with a personal practice chart and work plan. I like to use exercise apps, books and various tools to further develop individual musicality. I teach both complete beginners and those who already have in-depth musical knowledge in areas such as jazz, the basics of the classical double bass, funk and RnB, rock and indie, but also music theory, jazz theory and jazz harmony. I teach in Vienna, but also online. The duration of the lessons is flexible. I look forward to your call!

With me you can learn how to play the bass: from the most important basics, playing techniques, exercises and styles to the corresponding pieces and songs. Some of our goals could be technical preparation for playing certain pieces, playing in an ensemble, or just enjoying music. I studied double bass, instrumental and vocal pedagogy at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and completed my master's degree at the Private University of Music and Art with honors. As an active musician and educator, I am versatile - I enjoy playing classical, jazz, funk and Latin music and teaching students who are interested in different styles of music. The double bass and the electric bass are among the most important and versatile instruments in an ensemble, regardless of the style – funk, jazz, rock band or a classical orchestra. Together we can learn the most important basics, playing techniques, exercises and of course, different styles, pieces and songs. Some of our goals could be the learning of a particular piece/song, the preparation for playing in an ensemble or just to have fun while playing. I have studied double bass-instrumental pedagogy at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and received my Master's degree at the Music and Arts Private University with full marks. As an active musician and as a pedagogue, I open to different genres – I like to play classical, jazz, funk and Latin music and I enjoy a lot of teaching them. I am happy to hear from you!

About the Lesson: Are you a music enthusiast that wants to start learning how to play? Are you an already good player but you want to further develop your skills? In these lessons, we will create a curriculum together, based on your wishes, needs and musical taste. Our goal is for you to be able to express yourself through your instrument. I will guide and help you to achieve this goal by providing the following classes: - Contrabass (Jazz and Classical and any other style) - Bass Guitar (Any modern style) - Music Theory - Solfeggio/ Ear training - Jazz Harmony All these classes can be taught seperately. Basles for young and old Everyone is welcome: young and old. Age does not matter. It is never too late to learn to play a musical instrument. Making music is fun and healthy! Basles for beginners and advanced Everyone is welcome: beginners and advanced. Your entry level doesn't matter. Playing bass guitar is my specialization and I can teach everyone a lot. During a trial lesson we look at what you can already do and what you would like to learn, what your inspirations are and who your idols are. From there we make a plan and we give substance to the lesson. Basles: what do you learn? In consultation with you I give substance to the lesson. Together we will see which music styles, bands and artists you like. We can then choose songs that suit your level and ambitions and I will teach you how to play these songs. Based on the songs and a method book I will teach you the following: -the right attitude -the right techniques -the corresponding theory read notes and tabs read and play chords -training your ears grooves -jams -slaps improvising -flageolettes play You will learn all this in a cozy and casual atmosphere, with professional equipment in my home studio. About me: I hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Jazz Double Bass from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I regularly perform live with various projects in prestigious venues and jazz clubs, and I have recorded bass on 15 albums, (jazz and pop), on both double bass and electric bass. I have years of experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced players. I also worked with the organization Memo, performing interactive shows in kindergartens. About my lesson lessons: After a first lesson, I propose a study plan according to your level, your objectives and your interests.
