The most important thing for me is that the focus is on enjoying making music and developing at your own pace. In the summer of 2022 I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Classical Music at the Basel Music Academy. After an internship at a special education school in Winterthur, I have been studying speech therapy in Zurich since 2023 and play the viola in orchestral projects, various chamber music formations and the violin in a band. Graduated with highest marks cum laude for the Bachelor degree in flute at the Conservatory of Florence (Italy) and with the same points at the Conservatory of Milano for the piccolo Master, I am now attending a Master degree in flute performance at the Zurich University of the Arts. Music and especially flute and piccolo are my real passion. My lessons will be always different, based on the student. My main goal is to make music affordable to everyone, that's why I love to have students of any age. I am educated and experienced music teacher coming from Czech Republic. I graduated Prague Conservatoire and I also attended in many international piano courses with well known pianist such as Eugen Indjic and others. I have experiences with teaching children from very early age as well as teaching adults. These lessons are for young and/or unexperienced singers. My lesson plans are tailored towards students' individual goals. For some this may be learning and embodying an audition song for their school's upcoming theater performance, and for others voice lessons are a first step towards singing healthily in their church choir. In any case, I focus on correcting and building core skills necessary to singing one's best while encouraging and fostering creativity, accountability, and motivation. If considered for a long-term journey towards singing, I will focus particularly on classical techniques to build steady breath control, good posture, and proper vowel and consonant formation. Along with providing repertoire, if the student is ready and wants, there will be opportunities for vocal performance in the Santa Cruz area. I will encourage audio recordings in all lessons to help with future preparations. I will be assigning some homework after every lesson, likely a combination of vocalization exercises, dedicated sheet music practice, and theory homework (if needed). *My first lesson will involve getting to know the student, their goals, and some vocalization to asses vocal level. For singers with minimal/no prior foundational music theory knowledge, I may recommend time from lessons (15-30 minutes) being allocated solely towards foundational music theory learning.

In this class, you will decide what you want to learn, and I will give you lessons and homework based on that, your skill level, and your preferred genre group (western classical or contemporary).

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years. My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run.
