English, Mathematics, Economics, and Chinese Tutoring

For English class, I will be able to teach for daily conversations, school promotions, and tests (TOEFL, SAT, GRE, and GMAT). For mathematics class, I can cover all fields including algebra, geometry, calculus, and real analysis from the elementary school level to undergraduate level. For economics class, I can help on introductory and intermediate levels of microeconomics, macroeconomics, and industrial organization.

Every class is organized with preview and homework, as well as quiz if needed. The course content has to be communicated before the real class starts in order to utilize the time and experience of students. For parents looking for multi-lingual speakers to teach their kids, it is a perfect chance because I am also a Chinese native speaker and Chinese has to be studied from a very young age to be mastered in.

    Extra information

I graduated from UCLA with three bachelor degrees in Mathematics, Economics, and Political Science and worked for UCLA undergraduate admissions. Therefore I am very familiar with the American university/college application process. This may be particularly helpful for those who wish to study in the United States.
Students have to prepare well for the classes including but not limited to finishing homework and practicing to make sure they understand the materials.

    Location

    About Me

I am a serious teacher who care a lot about the quality of education my students can get from myself. During the period of tutoring, I hope my students can maximize their time to explore the course subjects and apply this knowledge to their life and most possibly, their exams.
Beyond class time, I am very friendly and easy-going guy.

I will be very happy to talk about my life experience in the United States and Chinese/Japanese culture for anyone who loves to see the difference among these countries.
As the eldest son of my family, I take care of the studies of my younger brothers.

My elder brother is now applying for the Ivy League universities with my help and the younger one ranks No. 1 among 144 students in his middle school. We all play piano and football.
I also helped couple of fellow students in my senior high school to apply for U.S. universities and they are all now studying in Top 30 including UC Berkeley, UCLA, Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, and Rhode Island School of Design.

I am a very famous chef when I studied in California. My friends came to my apartment for food during weekends and holidays. You can learn how to cook Chinese food with me after class time OR simply eat the authentic Chinese food for free as a reward for your hard-working! :)

I live with a cat whose English name is Alba. She also has a Chinese name which means "peach" -- the most famous agricultural product at my hometown.

I am a qualified engineer from Arts et Métiers ParisTech and followed a preparatory class, accumulating more than 10 years of experience as a private mathematics teacher. My goal is to help your child reach their full academic potential in mathematics and develop skills that will prepare them for a bright future. Why choose my courses? Would you like your child to: Significantly improve your results in mathematics/physics-chemistry? Join a selective curriculum? Become independent and confident in your abilities? Over the last 5 years, I have had the privilege of supporting more than 30 French students, from middle school (sixth, fifth, fourth, third) to high school (second, first, terminale), towards academic success. My students obtained good averages, passed the certificate, the baccalaureate and the preparatory classes, while strengthening their self-confidence. My teaching method in 3 steps: Short term: Immediate improvement in average by assimilating the course and preparing for assessments. This includes assimilating the course, taking notes, practicing standard exercises, anticipating teachers' expectations and test questions, as well as acquiring writing methods. Medium term: Integration of reasoning and working methods. Your child will learn to work regularly in this order: assimilation, training exercises, preparation for assessments and analysis of results. Long term: Establishing clear goals, building the steps to achieve them, realizing the SIMPLICITY of mathematics, building confidence in your abilities and unlocking your child's potential. Details of the formula: One to two sessions of 1h30/2h per week to assimilate the course and prepare for the evaluations. Classes delivered via Google Meet for effective online learning. Every child is a Math genius | British tutor
When I was a young child, I believed I was not a mathematical person. It wasn't until I met an amazing teacher at age 15 that I discovered my mathematical genius and my life was changed forever. I'm eternally grateful to that teacher. My teacher knew that self-image and self-belief is the key to unlocking your child's mathematical abilities. Everyone is good at maths, but we all have different styles of thinking. Bad teachers teach every child the same way. My job is to find your child's style of mathematics and allow him to discover that for himself. When he discovers that, he will begin to enjoy the beauty and power of mathematics...and then you will see as the grades begin to soar. 👉Click the blue "Contact Oliver" button above and let's discuss how we can unlock your child's mathematical talents! 😊

Private math lessons (Analysis/algebra/Prob) - physics
Currently training as an ENAC engineer, I give private lessons in maths mainly or in physics. I am coming out of a 2-year scientific preparatory class at the Pierre de Fermat high school in Toulouse. My courses can therefore be aimed at high school and middle school students or even preparatory students.

Fundamentals of Calculus (Integrals, Series, Derivatives, limits etc..)
Calculus is for those who study higher math levels at the University of high school. In this course, you will get deep knowledge of math basics and reach the upper level of Calculus. I can help with your homework, and preparing for midterms (exams) onetime of for a long time period. in Calculus I you will learn: * Limits as a definition * How to easily calculate the limit of the function with different methods * Derivatives * improper Integrals * Series (convergence or divergence test) * Taylor series *Fourier Series * Double Integrals if you want something outside of this list, text me a message and I will send you a response as soon as possible <3

Mathematics courses (middle school and high school level) and Computer science courses (high school and university level)
I offer you a course adapted to your needs (precise response to the notion(s) requested) in mathematics and/or computer science in order to be most effective using several teaching methods. With my experience as a university teacher in computer science and as an adult computer trainer for AFPA with various audiences as well as 8 years as a developer and project manager in the private sector, I hope to be able to meet your needs.

This experience allowed me to develop adapted teaching methods, to strengthen my ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable way, and to help my students achieve their academic goals.

Tutoring in scientific and literary subjects for all levels: primary, middle and high school + homework help.
Knowing by heart life from primary to high school, I want to guide the student in a rigor of work, so that he becomes as autonomous as possible. My methods: - A lesson reminder, at the beginning of the session. - A thorough explanation of the difficult parts of the course, exercises done in class, and Homework. - Preparation for controls - A thorough correction of the controls. And the little extra if needed: A course sheet is given at the beginning of the course with appropriate exercises, diagrams, and additional exercises. (To be done possibly for the next session). In addition, I give lessons during the summer holidays for a refresher course before the start of the school year (in video).

Private lessons in mathematics - physics - English.
As an engineering student, after two years of intensive preparatory classes, I propose an educational approach aimed at simplifying mathematical and physical concepts. My goal is to make learning more accessible by providing clear explanations and concrete examples. I adopt a progressive method, starting with simple exercises to assess the student's level, then increasing the difficulty to consolidate their skills. Thanks to this approach, I adapt to the student's pace, identifying and filling their gaps. My experience in preparatory class, where I was valedictorian, strengthened my ability to transmit knowledge in a structured way. I am confident that my passion for teaching can help students overcome obstacles in mathematics and physics.
