I am a Japanese opera singer born in Oita. (Oita is the
south part of Japan. There are a lot of hot springs in this
area.)
My voice type is Baritone.
I entranced to Tokyo university of the Arts, and I got a
Bachelor's degree and a music education license from the university.(2016,Tokyo)
After graduating from the university, I worked as a opera singer and a singing teacher in Tokyo
for 8 years.
I moved to Belgium in 2024.
Now, I’m currently in my first year of a Master's program at the Conservatoire Royal de Liège.

I am a teacher and singer graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and I offer individual singing lessons of all styles and for all levels in Herstal (Hermée-Oupeye)

The lessons are divided into two parts: 30 minutes of vocalizations to work on vocal technique (breath, posture, etc.) according to the level of each person and 30 minutes to work on songs and pieces that you like and that you choose (for people having no ideas, I can obviously guide on songs corresponding to the work to be done at each house).

The technique I teach is based on bodily relaxation and vocal flexibility. Breathing and posture are the basis for a natural and liberated song!

In 2006 I completed studies as a choral conductor and entered Jazeps Vitols Latvian Academy of music in classical singing and teaching department.

In same year I started my voice studies in Conservatorium Maastricht with prof. Axel Everaert.
In 2014 I finished Master in Classical singing and Master in Opera singing.
During my studies in Riga, Latvia, I have worked as a singing teacher in Vidzemes Jurmalas music and art school, as well teached private students.
Also when I came to Maastricht, during my development as a professional singer, I kept teaching singing.

My name is Irina and I have been working as a professional opera singer and a singing teacher for over ten years. I recently moved from London to Maastricht where I live now with my husband and our 5 year old son.

I studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and the Royal Academy of Music in London. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Opera, which is the highest qualification level (Level 8) in the UK Qualifications Framework. I performed in many prestigious venues in the UK, including Royal Albert Hall, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Barbican, and St.Martin-in-the-Fields. I worked with Nelly Miricioiu, Jane Glover, Vladimir Jurowski, Robin Ticciati, Stéphane Denève, and many other renowned coaches and conductors.

I am currently part of the Limburg Education Tour project 'Weltatem', which is a collaboration between Het Geluid Maastricht (Romy Roelofsen and Gable Roelofsen) and Kirsten Schötteldreier.

Alongside my performing career, I also have been teaching singing. I am very passionate about teaching and I believe that music, whether it is listening to a concert, playing the guitar, or singing in the shower, is good for both our mental and physical well-being. It helps us to become more self-confident, find out more about how we can use our whole body as an instrument, to express and channel our feelings, and also to relax. It is never too early or late to start. Whatever your ability, aspiration, and age is, I am happy to explore with you both classical music and musical theatre. For children, I do not only teach singing but also beginners piano and basic music theory. It is very important to introduce music to the little ones from a very early age. Before pursuing my dream of becoming an opera singer, I graduated with a Master’s degree in Linguistics and Translation from Voronezh State University in my home city. As a result, throughout my singing and teaching career, I have also been asked to work as a Russian language coach and repertoire coach on many occasions.
