Group tutoring Math classes for all education levels (GCSE, O/ A-level, IB MYP/ DP, etc)
I offer comprehensive Maths lessons, and since 2018, I have been tutoring 20/40 students on a weekly basis. Additionally, I have been teaching Maths at the International School of The Hague since 2019. In 2022, I established my tutoring academy (Thehaguemaths), where I provide both group classes and personalized 1-on-1 lessons.
Throughout my academic journey, I have devoted a significant amount of time to assisting fellow students and children (up to Graduate level) in mastering both basic and advanced mathematics as well as physics. My tutoring experience includes working with students from the International School of The Hague and the British school, covering various curricula like IB, EB, British (GCSE, O-level, A-level).
My educational background consists of a BSc degree in double Maths and Physics, and I hold an MSc in Mathematics with an impressive CGPA of 3.91 out of 4.0. Following my studies, I briefly ran a tutoring academy before relocating to The Netherlands.
In my teaching approach, I don't follow standard programs or lessons. Instead, I tailor each lesson to cater to the individual needs and interests of my students. If necessary, I provide exercises for practice at home and offer supplementary notes related to the lesson.
My main focus is to instill confidence in my students, showing them that they are capable of solving problems and making the learning process enjoyable and engaging. I believe that when students see the fun and rewarding aspects of mathematics, they become more motivated to excel in their studies.
This class is intended for students who desire group classes. For 1-on1 classes, check out my other class (which is priced differently)

Sobia has a very positive approach, she is very patient and listen to the students which all together make a powerful combination when teaching Math. She really helped both my daughters with their Math (year 11).
I would recommend her.
My daughter was really excited after having her first lesson - she really enjoyed it.
Excellent teacher, very good at explaining.
My daughter is comfortable with the teaching method and feels confident.
After many months of lessons I can say that Sobia has excellent experience in teaching & tutoring and above all has a human approach to tutoring my daughter which I think is very important. She understands that the tutoring is as much about rebuilding my daughter’s confidence, as it is about teaching her how to do math. She is also punctual, capable and reliable. And the proof of the pudding is in the eating, my daughter’s Math scores have significantly improved over the months, she is now much more comfortable with the subject and able do the work, no more panic and tears!! These things take time, it’s not overnight, but Sobia was there for my daughter and made it happen. We are so grateful!!

TEACHING APPROACH
• A program will be designed according to the specific objectives, needs and personality of the student.
• Address the basics as a foundation for improvement: math problem solving methodology, redaction of the solution, equations and formulae manipulation, arithmetic.
• For each topic in the program: first review the key concepts, then put in practice via hands-on exercises, highlight what needs to be memorized, monitor progress and ensure that the material has been assimilated. Rehearse as needed.
• Math terminology: can be a barrier to comprehension; key math terms will be explained clearly.
--> A comprehensive 25-question skills test is available to check where a student stands and identify areas of improvement in maths.

Math support courses for high school students (Science Maths, Science Exp, Letters ...)As a teaching professional, I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge. My goal is to provide quality education. I am aware that some topics may seem complex, but often this is simply the result of an inadequate explanation by the teacher. With me, you will discover a real interest in the material!
We strive together to achieve academic excellence, overcoming the shortcomings and difficulties encountered by your child. Studies will become a pleasant experience for him. In addition to the courses, I can also help with school orientation, identifying their preferences and highlighting the advantages and benefits of a fulfilling educational ambition.
The sessions generally take place according to the following stages:
1️⃣ The first sessions are devoted to the assessment of the student's level in order to detect existing gaps.
2️⃣ Next, we create a personalized plan to address these gaps, including the number of hours of work needed, specific areas to focus on, and appropriate training and development exercises.
3️⃣ We stay in constant contact with the student's class teacher, to keep up to date with the latest requirements and ensure a consistent approach.
4️⃣ Subsequently, I provide exams similar to those that are likely to be asked in class, to prepare the student effectively.
5️⃣ Upon request, I write a regular report, usually monthly, to keep parents informed of their child's progress throughout their course.
I adapt my methodology according to the specific needs of each student, thus offering them a personalized and adapted work approach.
In addition, I offer crash courses for students preparing for the start of the school year, allowing them to start the year well prepared, with a solid lead on the school curriculum.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to help you.
