Zoek jij naar een pianodocent die jou verder kan helpen? Dan ben je bij mij aan het juiste adres. Mijn naam is Ischico en ik ben pianodocent en concertpianiste. Met mijn tien jaar lesgeefervaring en actieve concertpraktijk, help ik jou graag verder met jouw piano-vaardigheden. Dit kan als reguliere lessen, maar ook als auditietraining of concertvoorbereiding. Ook kan ik je helpen met improvisatie en muziektheorie.

Onderwerpen die in de les regelmatig aan bod komen zijn techniek, muzikaliteit, interpretatie, gehoortraining, improvisatie en het opbouwen van een gezonde studeer-routine. We zullen werken aan hoe jij jouw muzikale voorstelling het best kan uitdrukken op de piano en welke handvaten je daarbij kan gebruiken. Ik geef pianoles in mijn pianostudio in Amsterdam Noord op de NDSM-Werf op een mooie Yamaha vleugel.

Iedere leerling is anders, dus de lessen zijn op maat voor jou gemaakt. We gaan samen kijken hoe jij het meeste plezier uit piano spelen kan halen en samen naar jouw doelen toewerken!

Ik verwelkom ook graag leerlingen die toewerken naar een auditie voor een jong talentklas of vooropleiding. Door middel van voorspeelmogelijkheden en motiverende piano-examens, werken we toe naar jouw doelen.

Ik heb twee masteropleidingen gedaan aan The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland en aan Conservatori del Liceu te Barcelona. Buiten het lesgeven, geef ik regelmatig concerten en organiseer ik andere muzikale projecten.

Ik vind het belangrijk dat mijn studenten altijd gemotiveerd blijven tijdens de pianoles. Hierdoor gaan ze met veel plezier snel vooruit. De focus in de les ligt op veel verschillende aspecten van het opbouwen van pianovaardigheden. Dit zal altijd varieren wat op dat moment het belangrijkste is om aan te werken voor elk individu.

Ik ben zelf klassiek geschoold en heb twee masters behaald aan prestigieuze instituten in het buitenland. Ook tijdens deze masters heb ik altijd met plezier les gegeven. Door mijn ruime ervaring kan ik goed inschatten wat een leerling nodig heeft tijdens de les om weer vooruit te kunnen.

Buiten het lesgeven om geef ik regelmatig concerten en speel ik veel kamermuziek.

My teaching method meets the student's needs. Above all, I try to make people keep their passion and taste for music and my main goal is to make music or art a pleasure and not a sacrifice.

I motivate students, showing them the benefits of exploring their unique talents, but also not hiding the need for continuous work and with some obstacles, sometimes difficult, to overcome.

I let the students bring their own musical choices and, over time, I also recommend material that I think may be useful for a faster, simpler, and more efficient evolution.
As I said, I focus on the pleasure of singing but also on the technique that allows us to achieve the best results with less effort.
I hope that my way of teaching will work with you, but we always have to adapt to the needs and personalities of each one.

Privélessen voor beginners tot gevorderden. Alle leeftijden zijn welkom. Ik ben al bijna twintig jaar professioneel geschoold viooldocent en violist. Ik geef lessen in het Engels, Spaans en (basis) Nederlands.

Mijn lesmethode is variabel, afhankelijk van de behoeften van de studenten, maar het doel is gedeeld: van de leerling een geweldige muzikant en gekwalificeerde violist maken. Ik werk aan zowel technische als muzikale aspecten vanuit een (zeer) bewust voorbereid gezond en plezierig perspectief. Bijzondere nadruk op plezier maken met de kleintjes!

Ik besteed speciale aandacht aan het creëren van een gepersonaliseerde opleiding en ervaring voor al mijn studenten. Ik geef ook enkele aanvullende hulpmiddelen die van toepassing zijn op het vioolspel, waaronder: Inleiding tot yoga, Feldenkrais, Alexandertechniek en Body & Mind. Alle basistheorie wordt ook onderwezen.

Af en toe zijn er leerlingconcerten en samenwerkingen met andere docenten. (Dit kunnen enkele docenten zijn van de Sweelinck Academie of het Conservatorium van Amsterdam, en meer).

Tot de benodigde hulpmiddelen voor mijn lessen behoren: een viool en een strijkstok, partituur en boekenaankopen indien nodig, en van tijd tot tijd ontmoetingen met de ouders. Af en toe gebruik ik digitale tools zoals telefoon-/tablet-apps.

Ik kan lesgeven op verschillende plekken in de buurt van of in het centrum van Amsterdam. Maar ik kan ook, afhankelijk van de behoefte, naar vrijwel iedere plek in Nederland verhuizen.

Over het huiswerk stuur ik het wekelijks naar de studenten en moedig ze aan om deel te nemen aan wedstrijden en zomercursussen muziek. Dit is zoals altijd afhankelijk van het stadium van de leerling.

Read, understand and make only the music you like. I think if it isn't fun, it can't be music:)

I studied a classical piano bachelor, and later a jazz master and a live electronics master. In the meantime, I have been teaching music. It's longer than 9 years now!
Most of my students learn piano. With the starter ones, I use my own system to equally help them grow all the needed skills: body consciousness (to avoid lesions or bad habits), music theory (including writing and reading) and improvisation.
Usually most songs are made of melody, chords and rhythm. From there, I can help you understand how a song works, how is it written, how does it translate to the piano... and voilá! You'll know the song by heart, and will be able to play it a bit different every time, because you won't be following a set of pre-imposed instructions. You will understand how a small system (a song) works.
This way of learning can be applied to any song, from any century or style. Understanding is key! Play Chopin, write rock songs, play Monk, Bill Evans, the Beatles, make a lo-fi beat, play Beethoven, play the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Star Wars, play video game music, play salsa! bachata and make people dance, laugh or cry.
Music is very powerful!

PD: I have also experience imparting electronic music lessons in Ableton Live and Max MSP, which is now a very important part of my professional practice. In case you are interested, it is also possible to mix the two worlds and create a any kind of path between piano, synths, beats and home studio techniques.

My name is Enrique and I come from Andalucía, Spain. I am a Classical Piano student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and I would be pleased to be your teacher. It will be great to teach you how to play your favourite music on the piano, but also about its language, reading and writing, that is, the music theory, or even how to start improvising your own music.

Hello! I’m Leticia, a professional soprano from Cuba, now living in Amsterdam. I’ve spent years teaching at the National Conservatory of Music in Cuba, performing as a soloist, with choirs, and in ensembles of various formats, sharing stages nationally and internationally. My experience spans classical, jazz, salsa, and traditional Cuban music

I’ve just arrived in Amsterdam and I’ve recently started learning Dutch and I am getting more confident in English. Even though I’m working on many personal goals, what truly drives me is the desire to work especially in the field I love and have dedicated so many years of my life to, helping students of all ages discover their musical voice, whether it’s singing, playing piano, or understanding music theory.

I strive to make every lesson fun, pleasant and most importantly comfortable for each student’s pace and process. Every class becomes a shared journey of learning and exploration, where enjoyment and inspiration come first. My goal is to help you grow with confidence and discover the full potential of your musical voice.
