My Portuguese classes are based on a communicative and functional approach: learning the language so you can actually use it in everyday situations. The goal is for you to be able to understand, express yourself, and communicate in Portuguese with confidence from the very beginning. We will work on oral expression and comprehension through conversations, real-life situations, role-playing, and activities adapted to your level, interests, and goals. Grammar and vocabulary will be present, but always as tools to help you communicate more naturally. Each class is tailored to your pace and needs, whether you're starting from scratch, want to improve your fluency, prepare for a trip, get around in Portugal, or simply enjoy learning a new language. In addition, I like to incorporate aspects of Portuguese culture so that you can understand not only what to say, but also how the language is used in its real context.

Both Brazilian and European Portuguese. We will start with the basic grammar of the Portuguese language. Depending on the pace and experience of the student, conversation will gradually take place in Portuguese. You will receive useful and practical tips to make learning the language even more fun.

Hi! I'm here to help you stop overthinking and start speaking. My classes focus on building your confidence through real-life scenarios, like, traveling, making friends, and everyday life. We will skip the boring grammar drills and focus on what matters: natural dialogue, pronunciation, and understanding different accents. Whether you are starting from zero or stuck at the intermediate level, we will create a safe and fun environment for you to practice. Let's talk about hobbies, culture, and goals while you naturally improve your vocabulary!

My name is Nicolas, and I am a Brazilian Portuguese teacher with eight years of teaching experience. I have been speaking Portuguese for about ten years now. I learned the language while living in Brazil for several long periods, both for study and work. I am currently living there again. Having also gone through the process of learning to speak this language, I am well aware of the different stages my students go through. This helps a lot. My lessons are tailor-made to achieve personal goals and are adapted to the specific needs of each student. Practice is prioritized throughout the learning process in order to gain autonomy as quickly as possible. Grammar is also covered, depending on the student's level. This course is aimed at: - Beginners (basics, conversation, travel); - Intermediate/advanced learners (improvement, exam preparation); - Professionals (business Portuguese, interview preparation). Currently based in Brazil, I am teaching my classes online. I will be back in Geneva in mid-December for in-person classes. Please don't hesitate to contact me for more information. Looking forward to hearing from you :)
