My name is Mateo Wilde Maldonado, a second-year student at Sciences Po Paris, on the Poitiers campus, specializing in Politics and Government with a focus on Latin America. Originally from Bolivia, I have a bicultural academic background, having obtained both the French and Bolivian baccalaureate at the Lycée Français de La Paz. This dual education has allowed me to develop a solid command of languages and intercultural skills. Language skills : Spanish: Mother tongue. French: Level C2. Language of schooling since my childhood and main language of my current studies. English: Level C1. Solid academic and professional skills. Portuguese: Level B1. Currently improving, with good understanding and ability to interact orally and in writing. Academic background : My career path is marked by a multidisciplinary approach which includes in-depth studies in: History: Analysis of major social and political transformations from a global perspective. Political Science: Comparative studies of political systems and international governance. Law: Law courses taken in my final year and during my first year at Sciences Po, with a particular interest in constitutional and international law. Public speaking: Training in public speaking, essential in my curriculum to develop argumentative and teaching skills. Languages: Advanced mastery and teaching of Spanish, English and French, adapted to different levels. Experience and motivation: Building on my experience in a multicultural and multilingual environment, I developed a passion for language teaching as a vehicle for cultural transmission and communication. At Sciences Po, I had the opportunity to engage in collaborative and intercultural work that strengthened my ability to adapt to different audiences and contexts. I want to use my linguistic and pedagogical skills to teach languages and support learners in their journey, whether acquiring the basics or improving their skills. My experience as a student in a demanding academic environment has also taught me to be rigorous, organized, and empathetic—qualities I consider essential in teaching. Availability: I am available for part-time or ad hoc classes, in person or remotely, depending on your needs. My student schedule allows me the flexibility to adapt to your requested schedule. I would be honored to contribute to the linguistic success of your learners while sharing my passion for languages and cultural diversity. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to discussing my application further.

What makes Baroque music different from Romantic? How did Mozart, Beethoven, and Stravinsky change the sound of the world? In this course, we’ll explore the major eras of Western classical music, from the ornate harmonies of the Baroque to the bold, theory-breaking works of the 20th century. Each lesson focuses on a different time period or movement, introducing key composers, musical styles, and the historical and cultural forces that shaped the sound of each era. This class is designed to be accessible and engaging, NOT theory heavy. No formal music training is required. We’ll focus on listening, storytelling, and historical context, helping you connect with music as both an art form and a reflection of its time. We’ll explore each period using musical excerpts, visual art, cultural history, and key ideas — with room for discussion, questions, and student interests. Topics Included: - Baroque Era: Bach, Vivaldi, sacred music, ornamentation, court life - Classical Era: Mozart, Haydn, balance, Enlightenment ideals - Romantic Era: Beethoven, Chopin, nationalism, emotion, revolution - Impressionism & Modernism: Debussy, Stravinsky, fragmentation, innovation - 20th Century and Beyond: Minimalism, film scores, electronic music, global voices Learning Goals: - How to identify musical styles and characteristics by era - Key composers and the cultural movements they reflected - How to listen critically and understand music’s relationship to its time - Confidence discussing music without needing formal training or theory background This class is perfect for music students, history lovers, or anyone curious about the evolution of classical music — and the stories it tells.

It is always a pleasure to meet Phil for our weekly online French classes. He is a patient and kind teacher and always full of energy for our class. Phil is interested in a wide range of topics, so we always have something to talk about based on an article he selected as 'homework'. What I really appreciate about his way of teaching is that he corrects me during our conversation without breaking the flow of our talk, so I can really feel my confidence in speaking French increasing each class. I woulf highly recommend Phil if you are looking for a French tutor :)

My 3 children studied with Daniela for the whole year, and it was a great pleasure! Although my kids' english was not very much advanced and that presented issues while studying science, Daniela was able to give necessary explanations, accommodate to their level and uplift knowledge. From the beginning of the year when each science topic was a struggle, we are ending the year with solid understanding of the school program and ability to participate in the class work. Daniela is very punctual and dedicated to her students, and I surely recommend her

Justin is a true professional and is really gifted at helping job seekers in their career path. He assisted me a lot with career advice, job application adaptation and proofreading. He is really good at communication, reading between the lines, and highlighting the core idea. Our lessons or as I would rather call it a master class, were absolutely great and easy going. Thank you very much, Justin, for your amazing approach, custom-made professional and easy attitude, and a super international mindset. I would very much recommend it!
