I have been a French tutor for more than 2 years to students with all levels. I adapt to my student(s) objectives and personalize my lessons to their goals and interests. For example, I have had students take lessons because they want to visit a French speaking country, want to study for exams or to make their conversations sound more like a native speaker. Prior to each lesson, I prepare documents and exercises. I can teach grammar, vocabulary and reading but I mainly focus on conversational skills by making my classes interactive. My goal is that you learn French from a native and not from a classroom! If the student wants, I can also assign homework after each lesson. I remain available for any question you may have! A bientôt :) Nina

Immersive French courses / personalized instruction - I offer attentive and demanding teaching, but I am convinced that this is only really possible in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere - you learn better when you dare to make mistakes! - I do not believe that there is a single method or textbook suitable for everyone. Hence the importance for me of always getting to know my students in order to build an effective progression. - I systematically tailor my lessons to the particular needs of each student, depending of course on his or her abilities but also on his or her favorite subjects. - I ask the students to do exercises (lexical or grammatical) at home after each lesson, in electronic (pdf) or paper format. We systematically correct them at the beginning of each class. - The dialogue between the students and the teacher is very important. Not a lesson goes by without them talking about life and the events in the news... - I prepare for examinations (DL, DELF/DALF, TEF, TCF, CCIP, TELC, CIEP, LPE...) (La Parenthèse - French Language School - The Hague)

Classes tailored to you professional or personal objectives. We speak as much French as possible. The more you speak, the more you will improve your language skills. Conversations are friendly and enjoyable. We usually have fun! I use English as a basis for teaching French - as a non-Dutch speaking and a native French/English bilingual. Special focus on speaking, while improving both reading and writing. These sessions are conversation-based, supplemented with reading and writing activities. Emphasis on specific grammatical rules and items to correct recurrent mistakes. DURING CLASS I draw special attention to specific standards of contemporary French: -> Key phrases, word order, wording, register of language, use of specific grammatical items, idioms, intonation, pronunciation, and other tips and tricks. -> Interactive training focused on realistic contexts and topics you are interested in. -> Authentic course materials (official lessons and exercises, media, videos, press, films, etc.) -> Continuous feedback -> Support tailored to specific professional objectives. I am a English and French bilingual second year university student at Leiden University. Having attended both a French school and a British school I believe I would be well suited to aid students following such programs. Furthermore, I can encourage students to feel more comfortable with their foreign language use and help them reach their target grades. Finally, I am calm and stress-free but can also straightforward. I am a student at Leiden University bilingual in French and English. I think I can be a good candidate to help students from French or British schools since I was a student in both of these school systems. In addition, I will encourage the students to feel more comfortable with their foreign language. Ultimately, I am a calm person who knows how to be direct.

I specialise in tutoring French to teenagers (middle or high school/ secondary school) and students (at university). My goal is to keep students challenged and motivated with a "can do" mentality. Often students loose their enthusiasm for a language because of multiple factors and I’m here to gradually help them get their motivation/enthusiasm/confidence back. ☺️ The tutoring is adapted to the student’s learning rhythm but also the school’s or university’s curriculum/schedule. In other words, the lessons are structured around the knowledge the student already has whilst helping him/her to progress in school or university and build his/her confidence. A variety of topics can be covered while following a logical progression in learning the language. I also help with homework, etc...
