For children who are fluent English speakers, tutoring can be given to further excel in particular areas. Subjects that interest the student such as science, history or world topics can be incorporated into the lesson to broaden their knowledge. Support can also be provided in learning organizational skills, research, and mini projects for older children. I am available to help with studying, homework, or school projects. For online learning, I use a variety of platforms, websites, educational games, and e-books to reach the learning goals of my students. Additional homework can be provided if requested. I can offer help with sentence structure, grammar, pronunciation, reading skills and vocabulary practice, in order to give you or your child more certainty and guidance in the language. With students I focus on the problem points that exist and I use the school method. If, for example, it appears that a solid foundation is still missing, I can jump in and offer support in learning this. I started classes with Madeira in preparation for an interview to a French Medical School. While I had a fairly okay level of French already, Madeira really helped me polish my language skills and achieve the level of refinement and ease in my formal conversational skills which I needed for my interview. She was able to expertly identify what areas I needed to improve upon, and through her exercises and feedback I was able to greatly improve my oral skills. Madeira was also incredibly receptive to any requests that I had regarding things which I wanted to work on, and she went above and beyond in helping me understand technical portions of French grammar with which I have always had issues. Overall, I strongly recommend Madeira as a French teacher to anyone attempting to improve on their French skills.

I recently enrolled my daughter (Dutch native) in English lessons with this teacher and I must say, the experience has been fantastic. My daughter has learned so much in the past few weeks and it's all thanks to the teacher's fun and engaging approach to teaching. The lessons are always interactive and my daughter loves them. She looks forward to her English class every week and I can see a noticeable improvement in her language skills. I am delighted to have Elena as French tutor for my 2 daughters. They recently started French (S2 and P5 in the European School) never having done it before and with the expectation in school.that they reach a high standard very quickly. Elena is not only an excellent teacher but she is also very encouraging and patient and makes the lessons enjoyable. With Elena's help, my daughters are finally enjoying learning French !
