I'm a Natural Sciences student at the University of Birmingham looking to tutor science or maths online over the summer. I can tutor any level from KS1 - GCSE for physics, and KS1 - A Level for chemistry, biology, and maths. I aim to give confidence and enjoyment in the subject, working with my student's own interests as well as following a syllabus. I am flexible to work with what you want to achieve. I am a PGCE and QTS-qualified primary teacher with experience teaching across KS1 and KS2 in British and international settings. Sessions can be tailored to your child’s individual needs and may focus on English, reading, writing, phonics, mathematics or science, as well as homework support and preparation for school assessments. I use engaging, age-appropriate activities and adapt my teaching to each child, providing the right level of challenge and support. My aim is not simply to help children complete their work, but to help them become more confident and independent learners. Materials: I provide the learning materials required for each session, tailored to your child’s age, ability and individual learning needs. These may include teacher-created resources, worksheets, reading materials, phonics activities, interactive exercises and practical learning activities. Where appropriate, I may also use digital resources to make sessions engaging and interactive. Curriculum Flexibility: Although I have extensive experience teaching the British curriculum, my tutoring is not limited to one curriculum. I welcome children from a range of educational backgrounds and can adapt lessons to support their individual needs, whether they require help with English, mathematics, reading, writing, phonics or science. I also have experience teaching English as a second language (ESL) and can support children who are developing their English language skills alongside their wider learning. I am happy to work alongside your child’s current school programme to reinforce learning, address gaps in understanding or provide additional challenge.
