I am a passionate and experienced saxophone teacher who has honed a highly efficient and patient approach to music instruction. I am motivated and pro-active and enjoy working with people to reach their goals.
Alongside making sure that whatever goals the student has in mind are achieved, my main focus is making sure that each lesson is enjoyable and to ensure that we have a consistent level of communication (with the student or parent) to figure out the best approach for both of us. Most importantly, I aim to make the lessons fun.
I have experience teaching all ages and abilities. Whether you're a total beginner or someone who wants to continuing their learning, I'm happy to help. I have experience with entering students for exams, if that is something you'd like to do.
I've have a BMus Hons in Jazz Saxophone and am a performer as well as a teacher.
I can cover:
- Playing the saxophone for the first time
- Improvisation (on all instruments asides from saxophone)
- Technique
- Theory and harmony
- Playing in different styles
Please get in touch if you have any questions!
I prefer to teach from my home studio, but if within a reasonable area I am happy to travel to the students home.

Saxophone Lessons (Jazz/Classical/Pop) with an internationally touring and award-winning saxophonist
Whether you are just starting to play the saxophone, or are an experienced player looking to expand your knowledge, I can help you!
My teaching approach is tailored to the student's needs and goals.
Are you a prospective conservatory student preparing for your entrance exam? Or an amateur musician just looking to improve your saxophone playing? We can figure out the right lesson length, schedule, and study materials just for you.
As a teacher I strongly believe in providing the student with solid fundamental skills - getting a nice sound, good posture, relaxed technique, etc. From there we can work on whatever the student is interested in, the #1 priority being nourishing their love for music!
Besides working on the saxophone playing itself, I am also there to help the student develop their ear, musical intuition, sense of rhythm and melody, and discover new music to expand their horizons.

Learn How to Play Trumpet Easily! (for all Ages and Levels)
HI! I am Lenart and I am currently a student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I have been playing the trumpet for more than 15 years and have experience in many different music genres like Jazz, Pop, Classical, Baroque. I graduated from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana. I used to do a lot of teaching (young to old) when I was still residing in Slovenia. My desired goal as a teacher is to show you an easy and fun way to master a new skill or some new aspects of it, but not to fill your head with unnecessary things that will make your progress hard and slow.
I have studied with some of the biggest names of classical and jazz trumpet worldwide like: Omar Tomasoni, Miroslav Petkov, Reinhold Friedrich, Chris Colleti and many more.

Among other things, we can focus on:
-Basic technique on the instrument
-Learning songs of your choice, with a method that will allow you to learn songs by yourself later on.

-Develop your understanding of music through the instrument (scales, arpeggios...)
-Creativity, and improvisation through the use of the material we have studied together
-Ear training and music theory
-Rhythm, all the way from basic to very advanced
-Basic compositional techniques, or fun ways to start composing
I have been teaching privately for the past 6 years, with very happy students. I can also teach online if it's better, I also have regular online students with whom we are making great progress.

For the lesson, there is no need to bring an instrument: I can lend you one. I also have a smaller bass that fits younger children better.

Trumpet Lessons for all ages & stages, in classical & jazz and more!
Hi! I'm a professional trumpet player from Australia now based in Amsterdam. I've spent the past 10 years freelancing with some of Australia's best orchestras (Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, Darwin Symphony Orchestra & Sydney Symphony Orchestra to name a few..), as well as recording sessions for pop/rock artists, film scores and music theatre. I've enjoyed diversifying my career by teaching in Australian schools, and now since I've moved I'm looking to help you with your goals now I'm here in Holland.
I've taught students of all ages in classical, jazz, pop approaches to trumpet. My lessons are catered to your interests and your personal development. If you're an absolute beginner, no worries! We'll get you from making fart sounds to fun melodies soon enough. If you're a bit more experienced and wanting to improve your technique, you've come to the right place! I was lucky enough to be taught by some excellent heavyweight pedagogues in the scene, including David Elton (principal trumpet of London Symphony Orchestra and Sydney Symphony Orchestra), and Tristam Williams (international soloist). I've taken masterclasses with Wycliffe Gordon, Adam Rapa, James Morrison, Wayne Bergeron, Phillip Smith to name a few. I've got so much to share with you from those incredible teachers! And I've also formulated my own pedagogy along the way that I really believe in.

Bass and Double Bass Lessons! Let's play some music!
Does it happen to you too?
You're listening to the music and ... You Just Can't Take your Focus Off the lower tones, the foundation of the song, The Bass.
Let me tell you something: if you do that it means that ...
You're already Learning!
Whether you're listening to pop, rock, r'n'b, jazz, blues, you name it, the Bass is always there to work as the foundation on which the Band can build on.
I can guide your curiosity through the discovery of the various bass techniques, we can work together using the music of the artists you love to walk our way in the realm of the Low Tones.
Didn't you always want to meet up with those friends of yours and play those songs you all love?
That amazing bass riff from Muse, that lovely song from Coldplay or super cool funky Bruno Mars.
Or maybe you dream of the warm cuddly sound of the double bass, playing with the bow and feel the vibration of the Wood. Playing some Jazz, along with Miles Davis or Wayne Shorter.
With almost 20 years of experience in the low tones world I can guide you in the study of electric bass and double bass.
I'm an active performer and touring musician, as well as a master graduated Bass player. (Conservatory of Amsterdam)
We will work together to find what best suites you.
Through the music that you love we'll find the right path to discover the world of the Bass.
PS: (For fearless only) I will teach also the secret art of: “Riding a bike while carrying your bass without getting killed”.
