Python Programming for Beginners: Learn to Code Step by Step

This class is for people starting from zero or close to it: school students taking informatics, first-year university students struggling with their programming course, or adults who want to learn to code and don't know where to begin.

We work through the fundamentals properly rather than rushing: variables, conditions, loops, functions, lists and dictionaries, reading and writing files, and how to break a problem into steps before you write a single line. We go at your pace, and you write the code yourself while I guide you, because watching someone else type teaches you nothing.

If you're stuck on a specific university assignment or school project, bring it and we'll work through it together. I won't do it for you, but I'll make sure you understand it.

I teach in English and Polish.
Extra information
Bring your own laptop. If you don't have Python set up yet, we'll do that together in the first lesson, it takes ten minutes.

I'm a Computer Science master's student at TU Delft and I build with these tools every day. I've written and open-sourced a pipeline for working with AI coding agents, and a lot of that work was about finding where the output quietly goes wrong. That's the part most tutorials skip.

This class is for people who use AI at work, or are being told to, and want to actually get something out of it. No programming background needed.

We cover: writing a prompt that gets a usable answer the first time, giving the model your own documents and data to work from, using it for drafting, summarising, analysis and research, building a repeatable workflow instead of starting from scratch every time, and the important part, how to spot when it's confidently wrong.

We work on your actual tasks, not toy examples. Bring something real from your job and we'll build a workflow around it.

I teach in English and Polish.

The first is anyone learning Polish from scratch or picking it back up: because of a Polish partner, Polish colleagues, work, or because you're moving there. Polish has a reputation for being impossible. It isn't, but it does need someone who can explain why a word changes shape instead of handing you a table to memorise. We build from real sentences you'll actually use, and we speak from the first lesson, badly at first, which is the only way it works.

The second is Polish families in the Netherlands whose children are losing the language. Kids here switch to Dutch or English fast, and reading and writing go first. We keep it alive with conversation, reading and writing that doesn't feel like homework.

I adapt to what you need: survival phrases before a trip, the grammar you keep getting wrong, or just an hour a week of speaking to someone patient.

I teach in Polish and English.
