I'm a TEFL-certified, native English teacher from the United States of America with over ten years of professional experience all around the world supporting learners of all levels to speak more fluently and express themselves more deeply in English. This is the starting point for me to be able to tailor the feedback, learning materials, and lesson plans according to your language background, levels, and target objectives. I believe that language learning always begins with building upon your capabilities in order to challenge you progressively and create longer lasting learning outcomes. As I'm currently earning a second Bachelor's degree in English Language & Culture at Leiden University in the Netherlands, I am learning a great deal more about linguistics, pronunciation, grammar, academic research, writing, and how to facilitate effective communication in English. I have lived in several countries (Spain, UK, Ireland, Italy and the Netherlands) and I have taught language classes to students of all ages in groups and individually. I also like to provide information about Chinese culture and its ways/habits. These lessons will help you learn to speak Chinese and its fluency.

I am an Italian native speaker with a bachelor in Italian Literature and Linguistics. In Italy, I usually teach English to high school students​, or adults who want to improve their skills with this language. Usually, I tend to use a non-academic approach, by focusing on the student's interests and make him/her applying the language to their everyday life, instead of simply learning the grammar rules by heart. In the last few months, I worked as an English Teacher in a Refugee Camp and Greece and before that I worked as a Portuguese and English tutor to both middle school and high school students. I had a 8.5/9 IELTS score and have lived abroad for several years, so English is a language I'm really comfortable in speaking. I love creating worksheets and powerpoints. Although I am a trained philosophy teacher for secondary students, I have shifted my focus to tutoring English and Portuguese language learners. My goal is to provide dynamic classes that allow students to use functional language in real-world ways, but each class can be tailor-made to the individual's needs.
