Hello! My name is Aga and I'm a fresh graduate of Conservatorium Maastricht in Jazz Vocals. I offer singing, piano and/or music theory lessons for beginners or intermediate students. The most important thing for me is an individual approach and establishing student's goals.. We will learn your favourite songs, different vocal/piano techniques, lyrics interpretation, proper posture and we can also dive into improvisation and composition - if you want!:)

Any level welcome in this class. Learning songs is the beginning of the adventure, learning to play music with freedom is the lifelong journey. Improvisation does not mean we forget about technique! So, learn some saxophone, some jazz skills, and music theory in a tried-and-tested way developed over my many years of teaching. I am as passionate about improvisation as the saxophone itself, the two go together beautifully. I am Julia, a professional saxophonist originally from Montreal, Canada. I live in the Netherlands for 4 years and have a Master's degree in Music. I compose, engineer and perform music. I also love to teach, I have experiences with ages 9 to 90. The main idea of my teaching philosophy is to get the sound in your head out into the air. "Guided Fearless Music-Making" is my motto!

Hello! My name is Ana, I am 32 years old and I am a violin teacher with 10+ years of teaching experience working with children and adults, specializing in creating a supportive environment for beginners and advanced players. I am based in Maastricht and I teach at my violin studio in Scharn. My teaching focuses on developing solid technique and musicality in a friendly and encouraging environment. I help students build a strong foundation and enjoy music-making. Over the years I have developed my own teaching method which includes elements from ABRSM, Trinity, Suzuki and Galamian methods, as well as covers standard violin repertoire. This makes learning structured and fun. For optimal development, I organize frequent lessons with the piano accompanist as well as a two class concerts per year in various locations in Maastricht, where everybody is welcome to join and support! Because I am always fully committed to my students, I like to study each case individually and prepare for each lesson beforehand. A bit about my teaching background: both my parents are violin teachers, so this is my world since I can remember. As soon as I started conservatory in London I started teaching privately and in a music school while I was studying performance and music pedagogy. I am proud to have very high-level students that have pursued a career in music and have become exceptional violinists. I currently divide my time between teaching violin and playing as Co-Principal second violin at Philharmonie Zuidnederland, as well as freelancing in other orchestras like Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonisch Orkest and Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest. I gained my Bachelor's Degree from the Royal College of Music in London with a specialization in teaching and a Master's Degree from Musikhochschule Lübeck. I was an academist at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in 2017/2018. Lessons can be in Dutch, English or Spanish.

Hello! I am an English saxophonist, guitarist, pianist and composer / music theorist, currently based in Maastricht, NL. I've been playing saxophone, guitar and piano for 15 years and after building a life around music and creative expression, it's my passion to share that with anyone eager to learn; at any level. I spent 2019-2022 touring South East Asia and East Africa playing saxophone in a jazz ensemble, and teaching at schools and privately. Music has been a passport for me to travel the world and connect with such a variety of people and cultures. I believe music can bring so much value to our lives, it can excite us and move us, give us a sense of purpose and identity and ultimately enrich us in ways we would never otherwise grow. Since childhood, I have been passionate about music, singing, and dancing along to performances on television. My musical journey began in 2001 when I started training as a pianist. In 2017, I was awarded a full scholarship to study for a Diploma in Music at SEGi College Subang Jaya, Malaysia, where I expanded my skills in classical singing and violin. I later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Studies with First Class Honours from the Royal Irish Academy of Music, accredited by Trinity College Dublin, followed by a Master’s degree in Opera and Music Performance from the Conservatorium Maastricht, graduating with cum laude. With 17 years of teaching experience, I have guided students of all levels—from beginners to aspiring professionals. Some of my students have been accepted into prestigious music colleges with full scholarships, while others have passed their piano and singing exams with distinction. I understand that not every student enjoys music lessons at first, and I take the time to communicate with both students and parents to find the best approach for each individual. My goal is to create a positive, engaging learning environment where students not only improve their musical skills but also develop confidence, creativity, and a love for music. Beyond teaching and performing, I am a strong believer in overall well-being—I'm a yoga and Pilates enthusiast, a lover of good food, and an avid traveler. The sessions are based on Eastern views, translated into contemporary language. My name is Andrea, I am 23 years old and I am currently living in Maastricht. I hold the Bachellor degree in Lyrical Singing and I am currently pursuing my Master’s (Year 1) at the Maastricht Conservatorium. Additionally, I am in my fourth year of bilingual primary school teaching. I am cheerful, funny, but also very disciplined. I have been lucky enough to participate in different operas, such as Hoffman's tales or the wedding of Figaro. I consider my singing classes to be very active, I like to innovate and teach new things so that each class is unique. I consider myself a person who loves music, especially the fantastic world of singing. I am very creative, so I really like to investigate different educational methodologies and put into practice all the ones I learn in my degree.
