About me

In primary school, arithmetic was my favorite subject, and in grammar school, mathematics was my favorite subject, and these subjects came easily to me. I enjoyed helping classmates who struggled with the material. This interest eventually led me to the Bachelor's in Econometrics & Operations Research, a highly mathematical university program that I successfully completed. I am currently pursuing a Master's in Econometrics.
Due to my strong foundation in mathematics, I have also developed a strong affinity for the exact sciences of physics and chemistry.

In addition, languages have always interested me. I speak Dutch, English, and Spanish, and I studied French, German, and Latin in high school.

I have several years of experience in education as a tutor, homework supervisor, exam trainer, and online educational coach at Mr. Chadd. I have guided students from primary school, VMBO, HAVO, and VWO, in both the lower and upper years, including exam training. Additionally, I have experience with VAVO students and students from MBO, HBO, and WO.

I also work as a teacher of Dutch as a Second Language (NT2), helping English and Spanish speakers learn Dutch. Additionally, I have worked as an AI trainer on improving AI models for complex mathematical problems.

After my studies, I want to work full-time in education. I enjoy transferring knowledge and helping students achieve their goals, whether that involves improving grades, preparing for an exam, catching up, or learning a new language.

About the lessons

Every student learns in a different way. That is why I always start by identifying exactly where the difficulties stem from. Next, I explain the material step by step, aligning with the school's teaching method and paying extra attention to the topics that are difficult.

Arithmetic, mathematics, physics and chemistry

For arithmetic and mathematics (A, B, C, and D), the emphasis is on understanding the theory and practicing with various types of problems. I help students build a strong foundation, do homework, prepare for tests, and train for exams.

In physics and chemistry, I focus on understanding the underlying concepts, applying formulas, and solving problems in a structured manner. Thanks to my background in Econometrics, I can explain complex topics in a clear and logical way.

Languages and NT2

I provide tutoring in Dutch, English, and Spanish. Additionally, I can help high school students with French, German, and Latin.

For languages, we work on grammar, spelling, vocabulary, reading skills, writing skills, listening skills, speaking skills, and pronunciation, among other things.

My specialization is Dutch as a second language (NT2). I tutor English and Spanish speakers who want to learn Dutch for study, work, or daily life. Additionally, I help Dutch speakers who want to improve their English or Spanish.
If you send the course material in advance, I will carefully prepare each lesson. This way, we can get started immediately with the topics that are most important to you.

With me, there are no stupid questions. Everyone gets stuck sometimes or lacks a bit of basic knowledge. I create a calm and pleasant atmosphere where you can ask questions without hesitation. Together, we work step by step towards more understanding, better results, and more self-confidence.

Neurodivergent learners are also very welcome, for example, students with AD(H)D, autism, dyslexia, or dyscalculia. I adapt my explanation and pace to what works best for you.
