I attach a lot of importance to working on the voice in a healthy way.
My main goal is to share my experience in a way that will allow students not only to learn about their voice, but also to enjoy the time they spend learning music.

Over

I am currently a final year master's student in piano at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. I also study opera singing at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp. I also graduated from the Luxembourg Conservatory in Musical Training Teaching Methodology. Teaching is for me a very important part of being a musician, which is why I have been teaching for several years in Brussels, but also in Luxembourg, and now in Antwerp. Individual lessons are the best way to get to know the student and the teaching methods that suit them best.

Opleiding

Student at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel since 2020, currently in master 2 in piano. I also study singing at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp and have a music training teaching diploma since 2022

Piano studies since 2009 at the Luxembourg Conservatory followed by studies at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel since 2020 and singing at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. I have been teaching piano, singing and Music Theory for 4 years to students of all levels.

I offer individual French lessons for students who either need help for school, or anyone from any age that wants to learn French at their own pace.

Learn or improve your piano practice whatever your current level by discovering pieces that you like and that will help you improve. You can bring pieces that you like and want to learn, but it is also possible to discover practice together and find together the repertoire that suits you.
My aim is to help you reach your goal with the piano, but most importantly allow you to enjoy music.

I give private classical singing lessons for all levels, from beginners to advanced professional singers. Both, in person or online is possible. In my lessons, you will learn the belcanto technique, which I studied for many years myself. I am a professional soprano, singing in opera theaters and concerthalls around the world. I will teach or coach you in vocal technique, languages and style. I do have a lot of experience in teaching young professionals and passionate amateurs.

Hi!

Have you always wanted to learn to sing?
Is your voice getting tired after singing (alone or in a choir)?
Do you want to be better at singing?
Are you curious about what your voice can do?
Do you sing in a choir and need extra help putting together the material in between rehearsals?

I love passing on the knowledge of my craft. The mechanics of the voice is such a small and intricate thing, and knowing what goes inside our throat and body is a very special experience. I get excited and moved every time a student achieves a new skill, and takes another step towards a deeper understanding of their voice.
On top of my experience as a singer and a teacher, I have a degree in linguistics. That allows me to know exactly what has to be done inside your throat and mouth in order to produce a specific sound. I can therefore adapt to each student: if they have an analytic mind, I can explain what goes on inside and what should be done to improve that. If they have an instinctive mind, I can help with metaphor in order to help the phonation. Or both! My method is multi-faceted because each voice is unique, and it is my job to adapt, and not the contrary.

How does a lesson work?
The first time we meet, we will talk about your journey in the music world. What have you done yet music wise, what artists and genres inspire you, what are your goals. Then we will do what we do in every regular lesson: I will direct you during some warming-up exercises, that include vocal technique work (if you have already warmed up, we just do a few exercises about technique), and then we will work on whatever you want. I ask my students to always come with at least one piece of music they want to work on (or maybe two, depends on the time we have on hands).
