English has become the Lingua Franca of our times. It's a valuable skill to possess, beneficial for everyone. It comes handy in the ever-developing world that we live in and opens doors to many places, also in the mind. Additionally, bilingualism enhances the cognitive skills. Whether you'd like to improve your speaking skills and break the language barrier or you wish to prepare better for an English exam, I come to an aid. I'm a 3-year Linguistic student, I've achieved the C1+ levels in English, on the CEFR scale. I have 2 years of experience living in London, where I acquired RP (received pronunciation) and 3 years of experience in the International Academia (Amsterdam). My linguistic background gives me the capacity to explain the sounds and various processes of the language, from a perspective many natives do not know. In teaching, I practice the holistic approach. It is my belief that language is for people of every age and education, but I'm aware that everyone deserves a personal approach. That's why I offer the first meeting unpaid, so we can get acquainted and discuss the expectations of both sides. In classes, I will try to raise your confidence and knowledge in English, on 4 levels of proficiency: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. I will focus on your strengths and teach you how to use those to your advantage in learning. We will elicit your potential and together achieve the goals you set for yourself.

I am tutoring university students and adults in English and help them prepare for any test they might have to take (for example, a university test that is required to go in exchange). Among the official English test, I am qualified to help prepare students for the IELTS test. As I am both Italian both British and I have done all of my bachelor degree in English I am qualified to teach english.

Bonjour, I'm of mixed French and Polish origins and I've been living in Paris for many years. I hold a PhD degree in French Literature from Sorbonne University and I've been teaching French and English since 2013. During my class, you will learn how to communicate effectively - and in order to speak, you'll need to practice! I have a passion for French culture, literature, music, film and theatre, and I believe that it's through culture and experiencing the language directly in everyday life that you really immerse yourself in a language. I train also for exams and DELF/DALF. Apart from this, I work as a tour guide specialised in French medieval architecture and a week-end trip to Paris (sightseeing included!) can be planned during the course to immerse in French language, cinema, food and beautiful Parisian museums. Practicing French in French boulangeries, restaurants and bookshops in Amsterdam can be planned as well. If you're interested in more than practicing speaking and pronunciation skills, we can alternate the grammar/writing classes (held at home) and conversation classes (held anywhere!). I have a PhD from Leiden University in The Netherlands, and over the course of my years there I gave presentations all over the world on my research to crowds ranging from 20 to 1000 people. I have also worked in a theatre setting as a producer for almost 10 years, and these two worlds combined have allowed to come up with a formula to help you shake off any nerves and get excited about standing up in front of an engaged audience.
