I am currently offering one-on-one private tutoring lessons in Maths, Accounting, Economics and other business related subjects for primary and high school students as well as certain subjects for university and other tertiary courses. Prior to full time homeschooling, I ran a business called Blooms Tutors. For 6 years the business ran very successfully employing over 40 tutors throughout Brisbane and Ipswich, and a couple on the Gold and Sunshine coasts. I personally tutored for over 12 years in 2 countries, Australia and South Africa. The business was eventually sold to a Japanese investor when I moved full time into homeschooling and sadly is no longer in operation. I have tutored at least 100 students across every grade from prep through to year 12 within the Queensland system, from both state and private schools and am familiar with a large number of schools in the west Brisbane and Ipswich regions. Over 6000 hours of teaching experience. I also have experience tutoring accounting and business subjects at the tertiary level, particularly with UQ and USQ students.I have a Bachelor of Commerce and an Honours degree in Accounting. I love teaching, and especially a one-on-one approach helping students overcome challenging topics and negative beliefs about their ability to learn and understand. My approach is very flexible and I try to fit in with each student’s unique needs. Many of my past students have stayed with me for their full high school term having weekly sessions through to the end of year 12. My current level of English is B2, and I would like to become fluent, which is why I am currently in Australia. I'm a student at the University of Sydney (UNSW) for 4 months, until September 2024, and I'd like to take advantage of this to come and meet you, whether remotely or in real life, to offer you a complete course, with worksheets and exercises that I've prepared. Once you've had a lesson with me, you'll have the resources you need to continue learning on your own, and a well-detailed guideline for continuing serenely on your own. You can of course continue to take lessons with me so that I can correct you and continue my course so that you have a follow-up. This course is suitable for children, teenagers or adults. I'll adapt to you and tailor my lessons to your expectations and your level! Just a small advice, to learn this language, you'll need to practise speaking and listening to it a lot (everydays), because that's obviously the best way to make progress. It's a bit like a baby who hears his parents speak every day and doesn't understand everything, but ends up becoming what we call a native speaker. We will work a lot on these aspects and you will love learning French!

My students are music teachers, professional musicians, university students, and avid amateurs. My program is focused on essential harmonic formulas and patterns in classical music. You will learn about Romanesca, Monte, Tied Bass, Cascade, and so on. Learning the patterns improves your ear skills, makes sight reading and memorisation easier, influences your performance, and change the way you listen to music. If you've studied music theory but have never heard these names, that's perfectly fine. This method is relatively new, although it is based on traditions of music education from past eras. These lessons are far from boring and tedious written drills in music theory that you might be familiar with from exams and textbooks. I believe that music theory should be as practical and hands-on as possible. Imagine learning a foreign language by only doing written "fill in the blank" exercises. Could you have a chat with a native speaker after such exercises? **What do I offer?** - learning platform with short and concise textual lessons, various exercises, and tests; - weekly 45 min Zoom calls to discuss your questions and progress; - homework assignments with my written feedback. **This program is suitable for:** ✅ Musicians of any instrument (or voice), specialising in classical music; ✅ those who have studied music theory, but their skills are a bit rusty, and they want to refresh and deepen them; ✅ those who feel a bit stuck and insecure when explaining the harmony and form of a new piece to their students; ✅ those who are looking for a way to develop their musical ear on a regular basis. ✅ those who would like to compose music in the style of the old masters. **This program is not recommended for:** ❌ Those aiming to pass ABRSM, AMEB, or other exam boards.
