Learn to make music straight from the heart! Study music as a spiritual practice. It is one of the most valued factors in music all over the world, though also one of the least understood. (At least in the western world, if not anywhere.) Often deemed a kind of sub-talent "one just has or one doesn't", I am very certain it is something any musician can learn. I know because I found out how that works. The technique is easy to understand, but hard to master. Mastering in fact takes a lifetime. As it is in essence the art of improving oneself through the medium of music. A lifelong student myself, I have always found it hard to study music in any other way. Most things therefore I had to find out by myself while carving my own path, never really staying with any music teacher for long. No matter how skilled you currently are at making music, you can learn this if you feel the motivation to do so. In fact it can be an advantage not to much already. One main medium we use for training is improvisation. Which might be scary at first, but can become something very exciting very soon if you open yourself to it. Anyone can learn this! The methods used can also be applied to non-improvised music. They turn studying music into a spiritual practice and performing music into the sharing of spiritual energy with other people. Trusted teacher: I am trained in classical hatha yoga, specifically Sivananda yoga. It is a varied class consisting of breathing exercises (pranayama), active yoga postures (asanas) interspersed with relaxation (savasana). The yoga style was developed by Swami Sivananda. He had a background as a doctor, with this knowledge he has developed a series of exercises that are optimal for your entire health. The asana poses are aimed at promoting the functioning of your organs and the alternation of exertion and relaxation promotes the balance of your autonomic nervous system. By regularly practicing Sivananda yoga you will feel fitter and you will notice that you can find more relaxation in your life. My lesson will look like this: I start the class with some breathing exercises. Then follow the warming up exercises (including the sun salutation) to warm up the body for the asanas. This is followed by a series of asanas interspersed with relaxing poses. This series will be roughly the same for each lesson, with a slight variation in exercises. The more often you do the same exercises, the more you can feel the benefits of the exercise and the deeper you can get into the poses. The exercises also become more meditative the more often you do them and you can find more peace in the postures. The lesson ends with a final relaxation. In my private lesson I have special attention for you and I can adapt my lesson to your needs. If you have injuries or other things that limit you in practicing yoga, I will gladly adapt the exercises to you so that you can get the most out of your private lesson. In my lesson, the emphasis is also on finding peace and acceptance in yourself, so that you can really come to yourself during the lesson.
