On reste simplement dans des postures immobiles afin de relaxer l'esprit, respirer et se détendre profondément. Le Yin Yoga est un yoga lent. La pratique de celui-ci se concentre sur les tissus conjonctifs comme les ligaments, les os, les articulations ou encore les cartilages. Il ne nécessite pas ou peu d'engagement musculaire.
