J'ai hâte de vous rencontrer, Eleonora EN I am an italian harpist currently living and working in Brussels. I graduated (Master of Music in Harp - soloist and orchestra) with first class honours in Italy and then I have decided to continue my studies at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. Meanwhile, I have been going on with my soloist, orchestral and teaching career, enjoying every aspect of it. I am an enthusiastic teacher and I have more than 10 years experience in teaching harp, solfège, music theory and harmony on many levels, from children to adults. I have been working both as a private teacher and in my hometown's school of music in Italy (Scuola di Musica "Luigi Rachel"). I love to create a positive learning environment allowing the student to feel comfortable and stimulated, whether he/she is a beginner or an advanced musician. Every student has a tailored method of study for progressing at their own pace and I will carefully listen to every request. I pay close attention to the student's preferences, in terms of repertoire and goals, also arranging some musical scores that might not be intended for the harp in the first place. These classes are either intended for amateurs or aspiring professional musicians, young or adult learners. My mother tongue is Italian, but I am also fluent in English and French. I'm looking forward to meeting you, Eleonora
Harp · Music theory lessons · Sound (music)
Trusted teacher: "I still remember the first time I heard the sounds of a harp, when I was 8, my grandparents took me to a concert in the little church in Gosselies. To pinch the strings, I was kidnapped by the magic sound that came from the heart of the woods. The longer the concert went on, the closer I got to the harp ... After harassing my parents for a year, I started To study this magnificent instrument, it immediately became a sacred object for me, and thanks to him, I could communicate my feelings, laugh, relax and find the desired balance. " My courses are based on the Irish teaching method so first of all to the ear, on the resources that the student has in himself and on the fact that one learns while having fun. I propose a harp lesson: - Medieval dedicated to teenagers and adults for false beginner and intermediate based on medieval music and rebirth, improvisation, arrangement of melodies, ... - Celtic for all ages from 14 to 70 years, beginner level, false beginner, intermediate and intermediate / advanced based on Celtic repertoire and Irish, Scottish and Breton techniques After a few lessons, the neo-harpists will play short and simple melodies until the end of the journey to play more complete melodies that provide accompaniment and use of both hands. Lessons are defined on the learning needs of individual students. Even if I use the Irish teaching method, I will provide the basis for reading the pentagram, for the integration of rhythm, the foundations of harmony so that the student can read a piece of music independently. I live in Italy, so I come back once a month in Belgium (sometimes more) for the courses in attendance (duration of the lesson in attendance: 90 minutes). Next dates for the courses in attendance: - around August 9 For skype lessons (3x per month, lesson duration 60 minutes) see the typical week.

Medieval, folk and Celtic harp lessons (Floreffe)
Mélanie
As i am just about to start harp lessons, we had a first ''lesson' in which Mélanie advised me extensively about the types of harps that I should consider getting/renting,and explained her pedagogy and the type of music she specializes in, which is exactly what I would like to take up. She explained some aspects of the repertoire (such as the fact that for older music we often have only a melody line surviving, so the accompaniment involves improvisation). She is extremely friendly and helpful, organized and clearly at home with teaching online, which she had been doing in part before the lockdown. I look forward to having the first 'real' lesson once I have a harp to play on.

Harp and Music Theory/Solfege lessons, for adults and children. Harpe et Solfège cours pour enfants et adults (Etterbeek)
Eleonora
I enjoyed my first lessons. It was both very practical since I learned a lot about the technical aspect of playing an instrument (hand positioning, body posture, etc.) and about the history of harp. The teacher also gave me advice regarding buying my own harp. She was very attentive and paid attention to my every movement, to make sure that I played it all correctly. I am looking forward to having more lessons
