Trusted teacher: Looking to discover drumming for the first time, get back into it, or take your skills further? I offer fun, focused, and personalised drum lessons in a welcoming studio right here in Paris 19ème. Tailored to You Whether you're a total beginner or an advanced player, I adapt each lesson to your goals, pace, and style. Kids, teens, adults—everyone’s welcome. What You'll Learn Technique, rhythm, and groove Rock, jazz, funk, world music and more Ear training and musicality Playing with backing tracks or in ensembles Reading and improvisation Technique and Lineage My technical approach is rooted in the rebound-based methods passed down through the Murray Spivack tradition. I was taught by drummers who themselves trained in this lineage—helping you develop relaxed control, endurance, and tone. Music as a Language I teach music the way we naturally learn language: by listening and speaking before reading and writing. You’ll learn to feel rhythm, internalise timing, and express yourself on the drums. Reading and writing music are absolutely taught—but always in the right context, as tools to deepen your fluency and independence. About Me I'm an experienced educator and former professional drummer, passionate about helping others find their voice on the kit. I've taught students of all ages and backgrounds, and I believe music should be both serious and joyful. Free Practice Tools You can start sharpening your timing today with my free browser-based metronome: bpm.paullove.me. It’s clean, intuitive, and designed with drummers in mind. Easy to Reach The studio is in Paris 19ème, near [insert nearby métro stop if helpful], and easy to reach by public transport. Flexible Scheduling We’ll find times that work for you—daytime, evening, or weekend.

Emiliano Della Giovanna: Professional drummer and specialized in Jazz. Born in Naples, Italy Living in Ghent, Belgium Emiliano Della Giovanna got music poured into the spoon. Born in an artistic family in Naples, Emiliano practices guitar and drums in his youth. His passion for drums encourages him to register at private music schools, where he is taught by renowned musicians, including names such as Billy Cobham, Peter Erskine, Dave Weckl and Gregg Bissonette. In 2006 Emiliano specializes in Jazz and is accepted at the conservatory in Siena, called Seminario Senesi di Musica Jazz. His talent is appreciated. He receives a scholarship to continue his studies at the seminar for Nuoro Jazz in Sardinia. In addition to his studies, he collaborates with Mr. Umberto Guarino and establishes a music school "Studio 40" in Naples. Here he teaches drum and rhythmic music theory. During and after his studies Emiliano plays in various formations, from classical orchestras to Jazz and Rock bands, including Renzo Arbore, Vittorio Marsignia and Sergio Colicchio. MSC and Costa Crociere offer him nine contracts so that, in addition to teaching on the mainland, he travels around the world for eight years as part of an orchestra aboard various cruise ships. In February 2013, Emiliano moved to Ghent (Belgium) as a proud father, where he focused on jazz, world music and rock, as well as paternity. He is also active as a teacher at the Harteklop music school. As director of the Artmusic music school in Destelbergen, founded in November 2015, Emiliano teaches drum, guitar and rhythmic music theory and organizes weekly jam sessions.

Trusted teacher: I am a classical percussionist and a drummer, with many years of teaching and playing experience. I completed a Bachelor and a Master course in classical percussion in Italy, now I am studying a Master in Jazz & Pop drums at the HKU in Utrecht. I have an excellent knowledge of musical theory due to my studies and I love teaching because sharing my passion with others is important to me. I have experience teaching many students, between the ages of 5 and 50, since I was 18. I taught in two music schools, led projects in kindergartens and gave percussion instrument lessons in high schools. I trained students as percussionists in two school orchestras. Additionally, I used to write and produce learning materials with my students, to encourage accessible learning. My main teaching objective is to help students to find their personal way of playing and studying, without forgetting the most important thing; having fun. I understand that music should be fun, and those students not having fun will not get the best results. I usually start my lesson with the basics such as reading music, holding sticks and posture. I evaluate the student’s strengths and weaknesses, allowing them to reflect and evoke healthy self-criticism, to help them improve with a positive attitude.  I always try to inspire my students, and at the same time I am inspired by them, as by playing music together we can learn a lot from each other. Whilst my students have learned a lot from me, likewise, I have learned a lot from my students and this has been very valuable to my development.  I believe I would be an asset to you, because I am a flexible, open minded, experienced teacher.

Francesca is a fantastic drum teacher. She is very flexible too. In the first lesson, after I briefly played a groove, she showed in what way I can improve. I am sure that people of all levels can learn from her. The location is also pretty nice, though a good teacher is of course more valuable.
