I'm a Physics PhD student at ETH with a lifelong passion for teaching. Whether you want to prepare for an exam, catch up on some topic or just have fun discovering new subjects, I'll be happy to help you in this endeavor. I've taught countless students from different backgrounds during my years as a teacher ranging from primary school to high school exam preparation to seniors wanting to learn a new topic for fun! In all cases, I encourage an educational and stimulating environment to share my excitement of learning. Transmission and teaching have been a lifelong passion for me. Starting in secondary school, I've been giving private tutoring lessons ever since. I try to share my excitement and curiosity with each and every of my students. I adapt to the different needs and while I always use a pedagogical approach, I also have experience with students being under time pressure with a tight schedule for an upcoming exam and I can help design a clear pragmatic and concrete plan to achieve your objectives.

My studies in university gave me the possibility to reach larger audiences by being a teaching assistant for the last 8 years. More recently, my PhD position allowed me to supervise students with both their research and courses.

I'm also very invested in promoting Physics and learning at the international level as a member of the executive committee and Swiss representative of the International Physicists' Tournament, an organization that encourages students at the university level to do research in Physics and communicate their results in a digestible way in front of a professional audience. This has been an opportunity for me to teach and learn a lot from younger prospective students.

I'm a Spanish student currently studying a Quantum Information MSc at ETH Zürich. Physics is my passion and I love to teach it, always in a way that the student can understand the concepts and see the beauty behind them. I have taught an uncountable number of students of all kind of levels, from school children that need help with the course to adult people seeking to pass a physics exam for a pilot license or university students.
In my 6 years of experience on teaching, what I have learnt is that usually most students just need a bit of motivation, and the best way to give them that motivation is showing them that physics and mathematics are beautiful and fun!

I have a Surface Pro tablet that I normally use for aid during the class. It's very useful to show the students animations, videos and figures in order to transmit a better explanation of the concepts. I can also use it for giving classes through online videocall, sharing my screen and writing in it as it were a blackboard.

I'm native Spanish so I can teach Spanish as well.

Note: I'm currently learning German, so I'll be able to give classes in English or Spanish only.

My name is Bastien, I studied Physics for my Bachelor's at EPFL and a Master's in Quantum Engineering at ETH. During my studies, I was a Teaching Assistant for classes in Electromagnetism, Fluid Dynamics, Analysis, and Special Relativity. I also gave private lessons to students in need before their exams.
