I am a classically-trained pianist with bachelor's and master's degrees in piano performance from Rice University. While the piano is my main instrument, I am also a multimedia artist, published poet, and singer/songwriter. I am deeply passionate about relating to my students’ personal intentions and inspirations, utilizing classical knowledge and years of performance experience to guide them through a beautiful relationship with making music. I work with all ages and levels.

As a young and experienced performing artist with two degrees in classical piano performance, my aim as a teacher is to develop a deeper love and understanding for the art of making music. I prioritize intelligent use of technique, psychological wellness in performance, and dedication to music and art. People of all characters and levels are interesting and exciting for me, and I love to share what I know with enthusiasm.

Maarten will give you the piano lessons. He can teach classical, and jazz piano. He graduated his studies in the conservatory of Amsterdam with prof. Jan Wijn and graduated with the highest score among piano students (Bachelor of Music, piano). He played several solo and chamber music concerts in concert hall, church, museum, library, hospital and elderly houses. He is regularly invited by Belgium Chamber music festival to play with famous musicians such as guitarist philip Catherine. Recently he graduated master degree in Brussels Conservatorium studying with prof. Boyan Vodenitcharov. Since he has a lot of knowledge of harmonization and counterpoints, he has composed and arranged many works and played many of his own pieces in concerts.

Asako will give the cello lessons. She has master degree, cello performance and chamber music, also has an academic university diploma for Musicology. She studied in Japan, Hungary (Franz Liszt Academy), Norway (Norway Academy of Music), and Netherlands (Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Utrecht Conservatoire).She can teach in Japanese, English and on a basic level in Hungarian and French. Asako can teach the cello for all levels and ages. Especially She is enthusiastic about teaching.

In the first lesson Younes asks some questions about your experience with playing the piano, what kind of music (genre) you like, and what you encounter while playing the piano.

The lessons are positive and solution-oriented, we focus on what you need and want to achieve. Furthermore, Younes will give an introduction and the basic techniques if needed, and then the intention is of course to play :)
