Private lessons for people with Special Educational Needs
From 20 € /h
I am a psychologist with experience giving classes and training to people with diverse needs.
My goal isn't really different from when I teach piano: to learn without it feeling like a chore. Of course, learning isn't a linear process; sometimes it depends on the day or our mood how well we absorb information, or not. That's why I also like to work on self-confidence and frustration tolerance.
I firmly believe that education should be tailored to each individual; that is my ideal and what I strive for when I teach. I aim to make learning engaging by adapting to the student, their level, their interests, and by encouraging their curiosity.
I'd be delighted to meet you and answer any questions you may have.

About Me
With a degree in Psychology and a Master's in General Health Psychology, and two years of volunteering in academic support, leisure activities, and music education—achieving positive results in the educational field—I've realized my passion for teaching. Furthermore, my undergraduate internship was in a social exclusion risk prevention program, and my Master's internship was with the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases. Therefore, I've developed the ability to adapt to the needs of individuals and their environment at any given time.
When I teach, I try to use a practical methodology that facilitates learning through exercises, activities, and/or problem-solving. I advocate for an initial, clear explanation of fundamental concepts, followed by the development of these ideas through the student's own experience. Furthermore, I firmly believe that learning is the goal, so I strive to make the learning experience enjoyable, reduce frustration, and ensure it's a pleasant process.

Experience / Qualifications
2 years teaching children and adults.
In each class I adapt to the person in front of me (it's important to remember that humor influences learning) and I aim for visible "results" in a short time in an enjoyable way so that there is motivation to want to continue learning.
I am pleased to say that so far, we have all been satisfied with the experience.

I have experience teaching from scratch.
You start playing the piano from the very first lesson. Lessons are tailored to each student, regardless of age, to maintain their interest in learning.
The class includes both piano and theory to provide a solid foundation and to gain autonomy in reading and understanding sheet music.
The results are noticeable after one month.
