I am a classical violist studying in the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” Berlin, with Prof. Tabea Zimmermann.

I have huge passion on teaching, I want to share all my knowledge, techniques and experience from my last 16 years of playing the Viola (& Violin) to different people. For me, teaching is always a two-way activity, students and teacher exchange, discuss their thoughts together, and we learn and grow together, that’s the only, and the best way to learn music.

In my class, I will base on your playing level, and set a certain program including basic practices and repertoire. If your interest in on classical music, then I will set a program for a classical way of training. If you are willing to learn pop music playing, I will also give you another set of program to learn.

I am looking for students who are really interested in music, and willing to learn by themselves, with their passion. If you think you are, then I’m looking very much forward to seeing you, and working with you together!;)

I am a professional violinist, violist, and orchestra conductor with over 10 years of teaching experience! I've taught every level of music education, beginner through advanced and young children to the "young at heart" adults. I specialize in helping students improve their playing technique, aural skills, music-reading, and tone quality. Whether you're someone trying to audition for Music Degree programs or picking up an instrument for fun, I try to tailor the lesson experience to what will benefit the students and their goals most. After successfully completing his music studies (Music Bachelor), he won a grant from the Brazilian government and emigrated to the Netherlands to take up postgraduate studies at the Rotterdam Conservatory with Prof. Vladimir Mendelssohn. He received his Masters in Solo Performance and Chamber Music with Honors. His diverse musical activities have taken him - both as a soloist, chamber musician and teacher - on concert tours to Brazil, Portugal, France, Germany, Austria, Eastern Europe, North Africa and Asia.
Jadenir lived in Vienna from 2007 to 2016. There he performed between 2005 and 2010 as principal violist of the “Spirit of Europe” chamber orchestra, in which he was also a member of the artistic advisory board and was involved in planning-relevant decisions on artistic and organizational issues. He also played in the RSO Vienna and the Ambassade Orchestra Vienna.
Jadenir has lived and worked in Berlin since 2016. With chamber music as the center of his life, he founded several ensembles with different line-ups in 2017. In addition to his artistic activity, viola lessons have been an important part of his life for many years. As a viola teacher, he has been in close contact with music festivals and music schools since 2007, especially those that are dedicated to social projects.

About my viola lessons

I offer dynamic and playful lessons. The goal of my lessons is to break the barrier between music and technology, so these are not taught separately from each other. Rather, I see technology as the merging of movement, breathing and sound.
Beginners and advanced learners of all ages from 10 years are welcome. I convey all kinds of music, their style and technique. I am happy to help advanced students prepare for entrance exams, auditions, auditions and competitions. I also offer coaching for chamber music ensembles.
The key to successful viola lessons lies in a transparent and open exchange: I therefore encourage the students to share their needs and expectations; and the family is also involved in their musical development.
My two main instruments were made especially for me and I was able to exchange ideas with the violin makers during the instrument making, which gave me extensive knowledge of the manufacture, setup and care of a string instrument. I am also happy to pass on my knowledge to my students in this area. Because with the growing understanding of the acoustics of the viola, one's own playing technique and trust in the instrument develop.
English, Portuguese, Spanish or Italian are also possible as the language of instruction.

Hi there, I'm a professional viola and violin teacher, teaching in person and online, in English, German or Russian.

Alongside teaching 1:1 and coaching chamber music over the last 12 years, I've led numerous workshops, including ‘Music First’ and ‘Music Masters’ in the UK and taught on the Primary and Senior Arpeggione Viola Courses run by Jacky Woods, coaching some of the UK’s leading young musicians. As a member of the European String Teachers’ Association, I have participated in ESTA conferences across Europe, including at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, and in Valletta, Europe’s cultural capital in 2018.

I regularly prepare his students for auditions, competitions and exams at all levels, and has a holistic teaching style incorporating music theory, aural and sight reading skills and physical awareness. Many of my students have won regional and national competitions and have been accepted into specialist music schools and youth orchestras.

Outside of teaching, I performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, recently including at Kings Place London, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and Philharmonie Berlin. I received first prize at the Małopolska competition, the Barbirolli Prize at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition and the Len Lickorish Memorial Prize at the Royal Overseas League International Strings Competition.

I hold a Masters degree with first class honours from the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, where I studied with Tabea Zimmermann, and the University of Arts, where I studied with Lawrence Power, as well as a Bachelors degree with the same distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in London, where I began in the primary department 20 years ago.

Hi my name is Raphael, I am a professional violin and viola teacher based in Berlin. I have over 5 years of teaching experience at all levels. I mainly teach in english, but have a basic understanding of german and am fluent in hebrew.

As a teacher my training began under the great pedagogy Professor Ida Bieler in the Vivaldi program, which was the winner of the Top Education award of Germany.
I taught in this capacity for over 4 years and also became Prof. Bieler's teaching assistant, teaching violin at a university level.

As a performer I often freelance with major orchestras such as the BBC Symphony Orchestra in London and the Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle in the US. I play in a variety of ensembles, and collaborate often on performances with dancers. Recent prizes have included the Bruno Frey Prize of Southern Germany, and 1st prize at the MTNA competition in the US.

It is a real passion of mine to watch and help students develop on their instrument and discover the joys of music. Alongside the musical side I am very confident in my ability to help with the setup and technical aspects of the instrument. Hello! My name is Monique, I am from Australia and have been playing violin and viola for over 20 years! My native language is English, however I have a fair level of German, so this is also possible.

I studied both ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) and AMEB (Australian Music Education Board) Violin. I am currently working on my ABRSM Diploma. Back in Australia I play the viola in a string quartet. We perform at weddings and corporate events. If you are interested in learning viola, this is also possible.

I work mostly in classical, improvisation and new music contexts but can provide lessons in all genres.
