I sing in choirs and as a freelance soloist. I have sung at the Amsterdam Opera, Vienna Opera, Italy, and Jordan, and have also performed in recital at Bozar in Brussels, Teatro Verdi in Florence, as well as in France and the Netherlands. Among the roles I have sung on stage are Liu in Turandot by Puccini, Donna Elvira in Gon Giovanni by Mozart, Musetta in La Bohème by Puccini, La Sacerdotessa in Aida by Verdi, Gilda in Rigoletto by Verdi, Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia by Rossini, Lucy in The Telephone by Menotti. In addition to performing live, I enjoy sharing my passion for music with my students. I've had the pleasure of teaching for 12 years. I originally started as a volunteer in 2016 and since then I have helped countless students with their school work; most commonly in Maths but also other subjects like Physics, English, and Chemistry. Later my position developed into employment where I would run after school clubs to help the children build confidence and talk about their emotions, make fun programs for summer camps, and of course, I continued with tutoring many children GIRLS DO CODE Girls Do Code is an organization in Slovenia that aims to get more women into STEM, they believe that this interest has to start in childhood and therefore they offer lessons in Computer Science to over 300 girls. This cause was something that I thought was incredibly important and so I became a volunteer for their organization. This entailed teaching a group of 10 girls the basics of Computer Science in a fun and creative way and was a very rewarding experience. Through my training for Girls Do Code, I was certified by Microsoft as an Innovative Educator. I currently work as a Maths teaching assistant at an international school in the Netherlands where I work with children struggling with maths in small groups. Great lessons. Very motivated teacher, encouraging, and very patient :-), and he teaches the basis also, so we can really go pro. I love it and my son loves it, too (so happy he wants to learn to play drums, and that is for a big part, thanks to Stephan).

Sonia was very active and push me to the limit to speak Spanish until the end of the course. My level was very basic so even if it was difficult for me she took the time to explain some notion of grammar and vocabulary.
